An awesome scrolling shooter a must play.

This has to be the best game evar. much better than any modern game can give you, a must for any one that calls them selves a gamer!

In my opinion, a timeless shooter. Classic and just made for pure fun, hours and hours can be spent just playing the game to clear the challenging levels. Probably one of the best soundtracks around till today too. Don't start talking about level balance, weapon balance, lack of story etc. just shut up, open this game and play it and you will not regret it. Hey, I've played this game over 12 years and I certainly have not regretted it.

I like Tyrian sooo much since first old DOS version. And bonus soundrack? Just amazing!!!

On one hand the game is really nice and bring out those memories of old shooter but to tell the truth if it was not free I think I would regret buying it because although it is old and should be hard core, from the second chapter your ship is so buffed that, and I am really serious now, I was playing it with a book put on the space (space is the fire button) and just some time evading bullets crashing through the game like a boss practically being invincible. But there are also some nice game mechanics like during some boss fights your view changes from bottom to top and the upgrading of your ship is also really nice but like I said before it's not balanced really good.
