Tropico 4

Love the game but nearly unplayable due to Virus alert saying Russia is hacking me etc. Cant get an anser from GOG

but better than 3 in that you can spend money to quick build and at least get some things built. Probably where the series peaked.

My basic experience was just placing buildings, waiting extremely long amounts of time for them to finish building, (even if I build the right construction buildings and team garages, which I felt also took very much time to build) and constantly struggling with debt, making it to an upgrade, demolishing obsolete buildings (also felt like it took way too much time) and then rebuilding the newer ones and waiting and waiting and waiting for those to complete while my financial economy numbers go into the negative (red numbers and debt). Make a few changes or laws here and there that don't really seem to make the game feel any different even if you try very hard to choose carefully and make smart choices. In the end you're just watching a city, sitting there. little cars driving around. I really enjoyed the spanish music soundtrack to the game which made it feel very authentic, and the game also had some pretty funny comedy moments in there towards the beginning, but later on it's just cheesy and cringey. Even though I really enjoyed the music, it seems to play forever on an infinite repeating loop of a few different songs. "RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOBERTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Eventually the songs just get stuck in your head, which I found to cause me really uncomfortable feelings of despair. It took me quite a few days to finally forget them. It's nice music, but not enough variety, and it just keeps playing over and over, the same few songs over and over... over and over.

I've played the complete Tropico 4 a lot. This does not look like it contains Modern Times. If it does, add a star. I must say that the campaigns are not difficult. In sandbox mode you can make the game much more difficult. I love bulding in this game. There is just so much to do with everything installed. There is not much missing. You can build just about anything. I would guess that this is one of the best all time city builder games. You can listen to the thoughts of every citizen, bribe anyone, arrest people, do anything you want. You just have to watch out for the consequences.

Doesn't run in windows 7, the mouse cursor is not visible. GOG does not have any options for help with this problem.
