Trine is a physics-based action game where three characters combine their powers to devise clever solutions to challenges created by hazardous puzzles and threatening enemies. The gameplay is based on fully interactive physics where each character's different abilities and tactics can be used to invent new ways to overcome obstacles and save the kingdom!
The single-player game is fantastic fun, but Trine is one of those games best played with a friend in co-op mode. A wizard did it. All of it.
I'm surprised to see such comments. You can play three characters with specific powers... but only the wizard is required. You can just pile boxes and planks to solve 95% of the challenges. How many times did you HAVE to use a well-placed arrow? A deft use of the hook? Adroit rebound with the shield? Pushinig stuff with the gravity shield? Yeah. Like, twice in the whole game. If the purpose of the other chars is to battle skellies, that's lame, and I would NOT want to be stuck playing the knight in a 3 PL game. Also, the wizard can kill the skellies with cubes anyway. This is not a puzzle platformer. It's a platformer where you create platforms with your wizard to walk over challenges while the other two enjoy the promenade. It's pretty and nice. And short.

A jewell to play with your children!
I played this game long time ago with my older kid, then with my second one and I have all the series now. Among them, just number Trine 3 is not a good game but all the other ones are pretty awsome. I saw my kids solving all puzzles and how they learned to solve problems. A good game for family!
