An action platformer with size-changing mechanics. Be quick and nimble or large and in-charge!
Tribal Hunter is a classic style action platformer game. The player become legendary guardian spirit, "Munch". Hunts enemies and can eat them to increase their fullness meter. If you eat enough, you will grow in size! Your size and fullness then also functions as a magic meter that you can spend for various effects like healing yourself or casting powerful magic like fireball!
Becoming bigger has both pros and cons. Your punch will become much more powerful at larger sizes along with increased damage resistance from your bouncy full body! However, becoming bigger also means you are a bigger target for enemies to hit. Also, certain types of enemy attacks are piercing, dealing extra damage to your full tight body, so be careful!
There is a diverse cast of people to be found on the island. Explore the island and talk to them. Rescuing people helps your tiny village grow, making it a popular place to be. They can provide useful information and help you on your journey.
There is a large array of enemies blocking your path. Tribal Hunter has 9 different zones, each having its own enemy set and visual style. Explore each of them to save your village! The fate of the island is in your hands!
No adventure is complete without a bit of challenge though, each zone has its own unique boss which will stand in your way and test your might! They may be challenging, but that makes your victory all the more satisfying! (Some boss have some "unusual" way to defeat :D )
But adventuring isn’t ALL you do… Every hero’s journey needs some downtime, though the island’s people may have unique ideas for how to spice things up. Play a humorous minigame for additional rewards! Munch is enjoying this………… probably….
Travel through the island, help the villagers and discover the hidden secret of the island. Can you beat all the challenges and save your tribe?

No matter the silly concept or big-time youtuber endorsements, what you have here is a game where the developer just couldn't help themselves. Every part of the actual gameplay experience is frustrating, regardless of difficulty. Buggy wall collision, extremely long end-lag on absolutely everything, enemies designed specifically to annoy you (or in the case of slimes, having a hitbox that just doesn't go well with the clunky controls), ALL enemies deal HUGE amounts of contact damage, your options for healing are either 'spend forever grinding for health sodas' or have no in-combat healing whatsoever (because your only other method of healing involves having to stand still).
The entire game is just a confused mess that only survives because of its cutesy art style, patreon backers, and fetish content that makes people overlook the actual critical issues with the core gameplay loop. A polished turd is, sadly, still a turd.
Everything in this game is designed to annoy you.
Punching in the air sends you flying into pits and enemies. Getting hit knocks you back into pits or enemies. Doing a combo locks you into an animation that will leave you open for attacks. Getting force fed does that too. Slimes in particular have only one purpose locking you into an animation and annoying you by hopping into your mouth and putting themself together from smaller slimes. Sitting down for healing takes ages even if you have the upgrade.
The game is mediocre. The combat is basic and doesn't feel very good, with bad sound assets attached to it which are annoying enough that I turned the sound off. The movement is slippery and imprecise and I noticed an input delay as well. The inflation fetish doesn't really add anything interesting mechanically and is actually tedious since if you eat too much you get an instant game over which I don't really understand the point of, it doesn't add a skill floor it's just boring to deal with. The music was forgettable.
The only way I see someone enjoying this is if they are into the fetish. Oh right, let's talk about that.
This is an R18, NSFW, Adult game. The art style is 100% in line with what I would expect from a furry inflation fetishist. The suggestive elements and sound assets are all there. This looks exactly like 100 other adult games. I even bought the art book to do my due diligence here and yeah, if the game itself isn't enough there is some obviously suggestive content there. The banner on GOG looks like the "SFW" edit of an image you would see on 621 or somewhere else. This isn't the same as something like Freedom Planet or Wonder boy or any other game with anthro characters. There are obvious sexual undertones here.
But it doesn't have any explicit content. It's like there is a patch missing for this. Now as an adult with a huge library of eroge, I don't see the point of this because all the good stuff is missing and you are left with a bad game. And I really have to side eye the dev here because what with that being the case it looks like they are just trying to covertly push their kink on people.
So the game is mediocre and I don't really trust the dev or their motivations here.
Don't buy it. Not even on sale. Just go play an R18 game or find another platformer. Even if you are into the inflation stuff there's better stuff out there for you.
