Crashing
I dunno, I couldn't get the Setup to stick, so no controller or resolution settings worked. Game crashed a few times during the intro.

Just some fun but not long
The world, story, and difficulty might be small but it's a good nod to old games. As you progress through you'll pick up upgrades for your boat and work through some puzzles. Probably recommend for young kids but I wouldn't mind a sequel that's bigger and more difficult.

Very nice for a free game
It's really great to see that indie games are enjoying so much success, especially games like Cave Story and this one, both free games, and both very well done. TAG is platform jumping game with a lot of exploration involved; you are free to explore the world around you, and you are expected where to go next. Sometimes it can get confusing, and I looked in a walkthrough now and then. Apart from that, it's a pretty easy game compared to old school platformers like Super Mario Bros. or Metroid. The finest thing about TAG is the compelling and funny story, that easily competes with much more advanced games on the market. I had a great time playing the game, and was intrigued by the original mood and story. If you're into retro gaming, you're bound to love this, everyone else should give it a try too.

Excellent indie metroidvania!
There are a lot of NEW-era throwback games in the indie scene, but none of them have succeeded at making me feel like a kid again the way TAW did. It's simple, it's exciting, it's challenging, and it engages the imagination. This is one of the best games I played this year. The fact that it's free is absolutely crazy!

mix of jump'n'run and rpg
this game is free but great! it is highly addictive and very rewarding! You keep finding all these great items that that make you wish to find just one more ... and then it is 1am ;D This game is so beautiful - it is just nice to play. The smoke-level is the best of all (the hero needs to handle shrooms and find his way through a twisted dimension while the whole visuals are replaced). I have to admit that I used a walkthrough and up-bottom is used for speaking and interacting - meaning that you regularly speak to someone and have to listen to her dialog again. Nevertheless: Highly recommended! PS: use a gamepad!
