Surprisingly good
I never was a fan of Diablo (I played D2 for only 3 hours) and the genre as such, but I was curious, I heared a few people talk about the game, so when it was on sale I bought it ... and I don't regret it. I will never reach level 100, hunt for armor over and over, but I really enjoy picking up my hammer and my shovel from time to time and go down to the caverns.

A blast
This is probably one of the more enjoyable dungeon crawlers that I have played over the years. The sound and graphics are good enough and there is a really nice amount of character customization. The only things I can say bad about this game is that there isn't enough of a difference between all of the different classes in the game and there is no co-op. Some would argue that it gets repetitive, but that comes with the genre and is to be expected.

Diablo-like adventure!
I do enjoy this game. It is a generic dungeon crawler game. The only qualms I have is sometimes it will crash. Other than that, I have this nostalgic feeling, as if I'm playing Dark Stone again, only with better graphics.

Most fun I've had since Diablo 2!
I'd heard loads of great things about Torchlight, and I have to say I'm so glad I decided to get this game. A great dungeon-crawling looterific way to pass the time.

It got me into ARPGs
Torchlight 1 didn't have me as hooked on it as long as I liked. It is an incredible game, but one that sorely missed any co-operative gameplay or mode, and thus, as a multiplayer-only gamer, I couldn't log in more than a mere 8 hours into it. But there was just something about Torchlight, mods aide, that opened my eyes towards RPG based combat. It never felt like a grind. I never had to backtrack to sell stuff and restock. Torchlight had me simply pushing forward throughout the game without ever stopping, and ever since then I've been a fanatic of ARPG games. As much as I prefer the sequel for its multiplier, Torchlight 1 will always have a place in my heart for introducing me o the genre.
