OK. It looks better and feels better than two previous ones in the LAU trilogy. Unfortunately I got stuck very early due to a bug - where you're supposed to place two crates on a pressure plate, the crates simply jump off the plate and you cannot progress any further.
So no love here even though it looked as it had some potential.
I just wish the sequel will be available soon. These are the kind of games that I really enjoy. Like Super Ghouls N' Ghosts or Ghosts ‘n Goblins, Battletoads, Cuphead, Shovel Knight, Hollow Knight, Celeste etc. A true test of discipline and patience. When you finally succeed on games like this, the feeling of beating it is just so rewarding.
Another not so old game whicho doesn't even launch. I've uninstalled it and tried to reinstall it, but I get an error message... I'm really tired of this kind of issues in GOG, in Steam, in any platform... If developers and retailers can't guarantee the games work or offer easy solutions to usual problems, why sell them? At least GOG gives us 30 day to cancel the purchase...
Savegames that never resume the game where you saved, but at the checkpoint set by the programmers. And these checkpoints are generally set in such a way that you have to repeat a not inconsiderable number of stupidly boring or - even more annoying - stupidly tricky game elements.
What's more, because of the stupid camera that follows Lara, you very often make wrong decisions in hectic situations that lead to Lara's virtual premature death. Whereupon you have to play through the whole mess again. Only to die a dozen times again because of the stupid camera work...
No, sorry. To men it wasn't even worth the €0.99 I paid in the sale. Deleted after an hour of repetitive screen deaths.
On the plus side, it looks pretty good. The animations are fluid and beautifully done.
Not enough for me. See the comments above.
Lori is... buggy. But not too bad. I had a lot of fun controlling her and laughing behind her back whenever she took credit for doing something great. 'Haha,' I'd think, and say to myself: "So you thought that was you... but it wasn't... it was me! te-he." (her 'back' is very bulbous and shapely, which I enjoyed too, except when she farts.) Also, this game (like Lori) is very short. And there's not too much exploring to do. It's a lot of go - there, figuring it out and move on, kind of stuff. Lastly, I feel that Lori needs a man to tell her when she's messing up. Someone like Nathan Drake or Indiana Jones, who can stand up to her and say: "Hey, babe, you're cute when you're angry, now come over here and give me a kiss!" And then Lori can be all like: "Not a chance! You cad! I can take care of myself!" {SLAP!}. "Ok, babe, if you need me, I'll be down at the pub with my mates watching the game. Don't stay up too late." You know - that kind of thing... Have a nice day. 😋
