Dr. Eva Rosalene and Dr. Neil Watts have rather odd jobs: they give dying people another chance to live. Literally. Using a technology that allows artificial memories to be implanted, the doctors can weave and transform the mind of a patient to help them live the life they wanted to live...
To The Moon follows Dr. Rosalene and Dr. Watts' attempt to fulfill the wishes of a dying elderly man, Johnny. In their attempt to do so, they travel deep through the man's memories, unfolding his curious life story before their eyes. With each step back in time, a new fragment of Johnny's past is revealed. As the two doctors piece together the fragmented events that spanned a lifetime, they seek to find out just why the frail old man chose his dying wish.
Johnny's last wish is, of course, to go to the moon.

This game was one of the most dramatic, sad, best story games I have ever had the pleasure of playing. Even tho the game-play isn't that good, the story... the story will make you cry.
This game is not, strictly speaking, a game. It's more of a Visual Novel (if you are familiar with the concept), a mildly interactive scenario where you mostly stroll around and push long narrative sequences with your actions. The gaming elements serve the only purpose of keeping your attention focused and improving the feeling of immersion, but it's the writing that is the focus.
And oh God, is the writing GOOD. It is so much so that it can give a run to some of the best books, movies and comics I've enjoyed. It's a wonderfully deep tale of love and regret; its characters are well fleshed out and its mysteries are unravelled slowly, giving you the time to guess the solution to some of the questions and absolutely punching you in the gut with others. There are recurring themes and elements that tie down the whole story and the occasional witty banter or pop culture reference (usually courtesy of Dr. Watts, who's definitely a huge nerd) will bring some relief in the middle of an otherwise sombre and melancholic story. One of the best efforts at storytelling in games I've ever seen, comparable to the Syberia series, and definitely a must buy.
A few minutes ago I finished this beautiful game. It made me laugh. It made me cry. It made sad. It made me happy. It's a wonderful story which you will feel attached with. A story about life, love, dreams, compassion and destiny. It's inspiring. The graphics are nostalgic and beautiful, not to mention that so well fitted soundtrack. If you're tired of slashing hordes of goblins, killing off random terrorists and conquering the world.. Go for this one. It's worth your time. I guarantee.
I purchased this game on an impulse when stumbling on it by pure chance. I don't regret it in the slightest.
Admittedly, I expected more "Game-like" functions than "interactive story," despite this, though, I was not disappointed. I played from beginning to end (which is just shy of 5 hours at my rate).
It is an extremely well written story.
I purchased this game because it had nice retro graphics and appeared to be an RPG adventure game. To be honest, I felt a little betrayed at first when I discovered it isn't exactly a game, it is more of an interactive story. However, as you can see, I gave it 5 stars so keep on reading. I kept wondering when the real gaming elements would begin, but I ended up getting entranced by the story and characters and stopped thinking of it as a game and more of a beautiful story. I got immersed in the game and it was wonderful. I felt emotional about what was happening, which surprised me. This platform of story delivery is surprisingly powerful. The story line has a special significance to me, for another reason, which I will not reveal, because it could take from the experience. This is a great story, give it the time it deserves, don't just play it in short bursts or you will miss out on something that is actually pretty neat.
