I didn't play Timeshift when it came out, was too busy with real life. The game is a nice FPS, albeit it does seem a bit too easy on the medium difficulty. Didn't play the hardest one yet, will have to try later. Controls are the good old FPS WASD, M1, M2 + timeshift abilities, with one difference, E is used for zooming. Rebindable, AFAIK, so it's your choice. It takes some time to get used to using those abilities, but if you want the AI to decide which ability to use, there is a universal button which can sort this out for you. Story is interesting, depending on your tastes, naturally. Sometimes it feels too easy, especially with time stops, sometimes it feels insane. Especially since most enemies require 3-6 headshots to die, unless you're using a shotgun or an all time favourite: crossbow with explosives, so this part is a bit challenging, especially if your enemies surround you. Compared to your enemies, your health regenerates, but you die faster than they do, unless you get cover or shoot them first. In general, on Medium, the game was easy enough to play through with more than sufficient ammo in most locations... although it does happen sometimes, that you'll have to swap your favourite weapon for your second choice. I personally liked the machine and shotgun, until I replaced them for the crossbow, pistol and rocket launcher. The shotgun is nice, but you have to move close to your target, which is sometimes impractical, but with the crossbow you can kill people with one headshot from a distance. And even if you miss, the explosion usually finishes the job. There are exceptions, like etremely fast enemies or the teleporting one [ who for some reason loses the explosive arrows when he teleports ]. If you liked older style FPS games, you might enjoy this one.
