A card game thats better than card games
I have an extremely hard time getting into TCGs. If it wasn't a witcher game i probably would have passed on this... However, something about the presentation of this one though really impressed. Treat this more of a resource RPG because it plays way better than a card game. Stunning animations/art direction and writing will surprise. If you like card games its an easy recommend. Even if you hate card games, this one still merits a try.

Not for me
Really well voice acted and the graphical style is very well done and drawn. Sadly I don't get the game. Firstly there is way to much tell don't show (i.e. reading/talking overload) and not enough enviromental storytelling, which is a shame as, as mentioned, the art style is fantastic. The combat makes absolutly no sense to me. I have just got stuck on one battle with monsters and despite the "main" character not having any abilites and the only abilities of the other cards is to consume a card from my graveyard to get health, they just keep getting more and more powerful with no explination as to where all that power is coming from! The game loves to talk and talk and talk but doesn't actually explain anything. Obviously I am an outlier here as many love this game but it's poor explination of the combat (the tutorial should be WAY longer for those who didn't engage in Gwent) kills it for me.
