Thronebreaker is a single player role-playing game set in the world of The Witcher that combines narrative-driven exploration with unique puzzles and card battle mechanics.
Crafted by the developers responsible for some of the most iconic moments in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the game spins a truly regal tale of Meve, a war-veteran and queen of two Northern Realms — Lyria and Rivia. Facing an imminent Nilfgaardian invasion, Meve is forced to once again enter the warpath and set out on a dark journey of destruction and revenge.

I must say i enjoy playing game but 3 thing make me furious:
- first is that you are almost always penelised when you are good - lets save the dragon o m g the best card character during combat with mosters is leaving, lest not kill the alone guy on bridge o m g army morale droping, there is plenty of such choises
- second is gwent mechanics - you cant pass after you used even one skill from your units or commander, i play many card games and this behaviour is unexpected, next thing is that even if you use card or skill and there are no enemies to use ability on you still must use it even if this mean using it on your units
- and third is last boss during reclaiming Rivia - im guesing this is last boss of the game and why always last boss have to be f***d up, you cant win this only with skill or cards you need to have f****g luck on your side
I can be merciless, i can accept gwent mechanics but i cant accept last boss with f***d ability to fake difficulty. On normal you can slip through without problems and the boss during reclaiming Rivia is wall.
What i like about this game:
- card game with story and adventure
- puzzles are very fine addition to the game
- Geralt episode :)
If you don't have morality and after easy play on normal till the boss during reclaiming rivia and you dont mind mechanics and are fan of gwent you should buy this. In other cases i would dont recomend this for this price.
If you buy from the windows store you get a dfferent game applied to a different account than what GoG has. I bought Thronebreaker hoping to use what I already have and it wasn't until after I purchased it that I found out it used a different login. Not sure why it won't let me using my MS account, but it doesn't. It's not clear anywhere and the expectation that I should have to look up what account a game is using because I can't set it myself is retarted. It is literally backwards and as bad as what Sony is doing with fortnite right now. Because I started with the MS version, I now have to wait until December before I can play the "real" game and all of the money I spent there was wasted as they ruined my cards. I'm now looking for a way to get a refund as this version is useless to me...
Never went in for "battle" card games before but,
playing through the witcher III I found gwent to be interesting.
So much so, I decided to give gwent stand-alone a chance and was surprised at how much I liked playing and building better decks.
Unfortunately Throne breaker did not continue this pattern of exceeded expectations.
It's a subpar gwent expeience, a laughable roleplaying game, and annoying sjw infected story.
