Description
Welcome to Thimbleweed Park. Population: 80 nutcases.

A haunted hotel, an abandoned circus, a burnt-out pillow factory, a dead body pixelating under the bridge, toilets that run on vacuum tubes... you’ve never visited a place like this before.

Five people with nothing in common have been drawn to this rundown, forgotten town. They don’t know it yet, but they are all deeply connected. And they’re being watched.

...Who is Agent Ray really working for and will she get what they want?
...What does Junior Agent Reyes know about a 20 year old factory fire that he’s not saying?
...Will the ghost, Franklin, get to speak to his daughter again?
...Will Ransome the *Beeping* Clown ever become a decent human being?
...Will aspiring game developer Delores abandon her dreams and stick by her family?
...And most importantly: how come no one cares about that dead body?

By the end of a long, strange night in Thimbleweed Park, all of this will be answered -- and you’ll question everything you thought you knew.

In a town like Thimbleweed Park, a dead body is the least of your problems.

Perfect successor to the LucasArts games

This is probably the best game I've played all year. If you loved LucasArts adventures such as Monkey Island and Day of the Tentacle then buy this now, you will not be disappointed! It feels very much like an old LucasArts adventure game brought into the modern age; The graphical style works very well and doesn't detract at all from the game. The puzzles are fun but challenging, with only a few really obscure moon logic leaps in there, but the difficulty is definitely of the pre-Schafer era, esp later in the game. That said if you're a veteran of the Monkey Island series you will be adequately trained for this! The game is very well written and puts a lot of newer games and remakes to shame - It's not even a gig and runs perfectly smoothly with no hitches - This is how it should be done; Many other companies should be taking notes. (I'm looking at you Double Fine with your 5GB jerky as heck cutscene-transition-cutoff-desync-bug FT remake!!) The audio is good - the music is pleasant but unintrusive and sets the mood and feel accordingly. The voice acting is great too, although some lines are read a bit weirdly (May be intentional!). It all just feels perfectly spot on! It's hard to quantify, but the feel of the game is just perfect and gives me that brain buzz I have had from precious few games lately; It's not nostalgia so much as genuine joy to play this. A solid recommendation from me!

SO FUN!

A nostalgic rush! Dormant 80's gaming circuits in my brain keep refiring as I play. They nailed this wonderful genre piece and in a contemporary way. Playing Thimbleweed Park actual makes me feel good. It's well written and the character work is great. SO FUN!

A blast from the past

Thimbleweed park is a great old school point-and-click adventure, the kind many people (including myself) have been missing for years. The latter parts of the game seem kinda rushed and the ending isn't all that great, but overall it's still a great experience.

Thanks for this masterpiece

As written by the people before, this game brings us back to the early 80s when we used to load up Maniac Mansion, were stunned by the sprites and the interface and didn't know what to do and what to expect behind the next door. This game is exactly what I've expected when I first read about a retro project point'n'click adventure. The jokes are great (especially if ya known all the other adventures) and the atmosphere pulls ya in the first blink of moment when ya start the game. Please carry on like this and I wish the best luck that these kind of games will find its players in a time of overblown sandbox games, which are all alike eyecandy but boring after some hours.

Disappointing

Sorry, I can't recommend this one although the artwork and the technical aspects of the multi-platform engine with lighting and movement (except the nauseating ghost world effects) is well done. The plot is overly self-referential with adventure games effectively derailing itself especially in the end. In the first third the puzzles are more structured and somehow solvable, but become horrible unconnected guesswork in the end. Multiple playable characters lead to repetitive dialog and even more confusing puzzle interactions. Characters lack charm and mystery. The humor is pretty flat. I was expecting so much more. Wadjet Eye Games showed how the genre evolved. Ron Gilbert was sadly too much stuck in nostalgia.
