Survival Mode
In this mode, a random world is generated with its own events, weather, geography, and infected population. You must build a successful colony that must survive for a specific period of time against the swarms of infected. It is a fast and ultra addictive game mode. We plan to release a challenge of the week where all players must play the same random map. The best scores will be published in a leaderboard.
Real Time with Pause
This is a real-time strategy game, but don’t get too nervous. You can pause the action to take the best strategic and tactical decisions.
In Pause Mode, you can place structures to build, give orders to your army, or consult all of the game’s information.
This game is all about strategy, not player performance or the player’s skill to memorize and quickly execute dozens of key commands. Pause the game and take all the time you need!
Build your Colony
Build dwellings and acquire food for the colonists. They will come to live and work for the colony.
Collect resources from the environment using various building structures. Upgrade buildings to make them more efficient.
Expand the energy distribution of the colony by placing Tesla Towers and build mills and power plants to feed the energy to your buildings.
Build walls, gates, towers, and structures to watch the surroundings. Don’t let the infected take over the colony!
Build an Army
What kind of people would want to combat the infected?
Only the maddest ones. Train and contract mercenaries to protect the colony. They demand their money and food, and you will have to listen to their awful comments, but these tormented heroes will be your best weapon to destroy the infected.
Every unit is unique and has their own skills and personality – discover them!
Thousands of Units on Screen
Yes! They are billions! The world is full of infected creatures… they roam, smell, and listen. Every one of them has their own AI. Make noise and they will come – kill some of them to access an oil deposit and hundred of them will come to investigate.
We have created our custom engine to handle hordes of thousands of the infected, up to 20,000 units in real time.
Do you think your colony is safe? Wait for the swarms of thousands of infected that are roaming the world. Sometimes your colony is in their path!
Prevent the Infection
If just one of the infected breaks into a building, all the colonies and workers inside will become infected. The infected workers will then run rabid to infect more buildings. Infections must be eradicated from the beginning, otherwise, it will grow exponentially becoming impossible to contain.
Beautiful 4K Graphics!
Prepare to enjoy these ultra high definition graphics. Our artists have created tons of art pieces: Beautiful buildings with their own animations, thousands of frames of animation to get the smoothest movements and everything with a crazy Steampunk and Victorian style!

While half of the challenge is to find out what to research and what mission to run next, i pretty much like the game itself. Devs happened to make pretty nice balance between free space and resources available, noise that attracts too much unwanted attention early in the game, available firepower and need to have all research points to be put into "lategame" devices capable of defeat uncountable zombies comming with the next wave. Every time it feels so good to shred to pieces incoming herd, after slow and accurate beginning of the mission
Every review you've read about this game is right. The campaign sucks and can soft-lock you with impossible difficulty based on what technologies you've chosen to unlock. The hero-missions are 90-minute chores of kiting enemies and doubling back. The lack of normal save/load means that if things get hairy, you have to salvage the last couple minutes by closing the program via Task Manager.
BUT...
I have sunk hundreds of hours into Survival Mode (its regular random-map mode) and still find it endearing. The art style is perfect. Gameplay is fun and tense. It really makes you think to plan your optimal base defenses and economy layout. The bad voice acting and bizarre unit dialogue are a plus.
I do recommend this game, acknowledging all its glaring flaws. I know it's not encouraging to read "this game is great once you acclimate to its faults," but what it does right it does so well that it's worth trying. I keep coming back to it and enjoy exhilarating games every time I play.
Nice rogue/rts game. But here its problems:
1) No manual save. The game actually expects you to play every level PERFECTLY from beginning to end.
2) If you spend your science points incorrectly (and you will !) in the tech tree you're pretty much SCREWED ! All future levels can't be completed and you will have to reset your ENTIRE CAMPAIGN !!!
3) The "Soldier" is the only military unit that is worth something in battle but it takes too long in the research tree to unlock it. You will have to do your way through the beginning of a level with those lousy rangers (a weak archer-girl with little hit points).
4) In the end-game you will probably have your base fortified with walls, towers full of snipers and automated defence systems, at that point you will probably want to dismiss that squad of 50 soldiers BUT, you will have to do it ONE BY ONE !!!, so tedious, such boring, much dull !
5) Mutants and Titans (the coolest military units you can command) are WAY TO FAR both in the tech tree and the research tree. So, you will only be able to use them on the last levels of the campaign and you will only want to train them if you research them before walling and towering your base (bad game-timing design).
6) If one of your tents gets infected by a zombie attack it's pretty much game over ! Infection spreads WAY TOO FAST in this game. Your entire base is to vulnerable.
7) THOSE THEM HARPIES!!!!!. Harpies are zombie-girl monsters that are lightning fast with long and sharp finger nails that not only will slice your soldiers in half in a second but also climb your walls, ignore your defence turrets and infect your houses like the plague. A COMPLETELY UNBALANCE enemy if you ask me.
8) Building placement is awkward and non-intuitive. The game automatically places "invisible paths" between buildings that don't let you build your base at your leisure. You can't also place several production/extraction buildings in the same patch of resources tightly.
...etc, etc...
You will lose the first few times, I know I did. I played this at a friends house and while attempting to add it to my wishlist accidentally purchased it. I will ask for a refund and wait for a sale but imo the game could be worth the full price I'm just not very wealthy :)
A few things, a lot of people complain about the campaign but survival mode is the heart and soul of the game, play that first and get the basics down before you try the campaign.
I think the map is generated each time and sometimes you will make bad choices thinking that they are good choices. I spent a lot of resources and time setting up a defense wall with towers and then after scouting farther into the fog of war I found out..... It was a dead end! No zombies could come that way. But I left those walls and stuff up because I had learned from my previous defeat how fast infection spreads and its good to have breaks like a submarine or when a building tries to stop a fire.
BIG TIP
-The only building you 100% have to protect is your main base of operations. Make sure you have a reserve squad or some towers in case SHTF as long as main base lives you can always come back and repair the rest.
Have fun, good luck and sorry if you die! (I will.... again and again and again)
Boring campaign. Glitchy AI. Lots of random crashes which isn't the best when your game doesn't have manual save. Say good bye to the last hour of progress if it crashes before it auto saves randomly.
Oh and all my saves after 16 hrs of playing it just randomly deleted.
