Theme Hospital

I used to play this game a LOT when I was a teenager, and it's one of the fondest gaming memories I have. Even though I always got stuck at late-game levels; I've never actually "beaten" the game. So, buying it here on GOG to refresh those memories was an easy decision -- and one I haven't regretted. Managing hospitals does require some micro-managing, but the game is built in a way that makes it a lot of fun regardless. You need a doctor with a specific qualification? Here, have a look at these colourfully described candidates. Your hospital has a rat infestation? Here, shoot the pesky vermin with this gun. The game will most likely seem really easy at the start, but trust me when I say it gets WAY harder as you progress through levels. All in all, easily worth its price.

This is just as amazing as I remembered it to be. Im really glad I bought this game again.

I loved this game as a preteen/teen in the 90s, and am thrilled to have found it for only 1.49 online! My only major complaint though is that I can't seem to save a game! If you have played this a lot you know how frustrating it is to start all over again. I guess it's good so I don't waste a lot of time playing games instead of more important things, but still it would be nice to be able to save a game and maybe finally get to the end one day. Also today I was trying to build a room and the game crashed because someone was walking where I was building a room. I guess I should just be grateful to be able to play it. Thanks!

Easy to learn and full of laughs. A really easy game to sit down and enjoy. Highly recommend you purchase this classic game.

Nostalgy hits quite hard here, so this review is far from objective. You build and run a hospital. From the automatic autopsy machine to zapping rats, if you don't clean often enough. Anything that happens in the hospital is your responsibility (and subsequently your fault, when you see a ghost with wings flying up from your screen). You're treating ilnesses such as common cold and invisibility. That escalated quickly, right? You choose your receptionists, doctors, nurses and handyman, you lay out the rooms and buy equipment, you negotiate salary with your employees, you choose how much heat is the hospital getting and an hour later you decide to start over, because you need to cram in new room with large equipment and you don't have the space now. I actually didn't ever finish the game, but I think the lower levels are worth buying the game anyway - either you appreciate the simple mindless comedy of the intro, or you will appreciate the tough challenges of the end-game. Players are reminded to be patient!
