Witcher 3 Hearts of Stone DLC Classic Part1
Witcher 3 Hearts of Stone DLC Classic Part2
This expansion adds not only a wonderful main quest and many locations but also side quests, treasure hunts, points of interest and even random events. It felt like I've never finished the game at all!
Great Job CDPR. I will continue to throw money at your face.
I'm about 3-4 hours into the expansion, and CDPR has not disappointed. If you enjoyed the Bloody Baron questline in Witcher Wild Hunt, you will find something to like in Hearts of Stone. Same excellent writing, voice acting, and pacing that I've come to expect from these developers.
This is an expansion done right. It features so much that makes it a must-have!
There's Shani for the Witcher 1 fans.
Then the part of the story that's all about careless fun - after all the epic events of the main quest line, this just feels... nice and warm and almost nostalgic. It's the feeling like the house party scene in Mass Effect 3 Citadel DLC - it will make you laugh and enjoy yourself.
The whole main quest line of this expansion is interesting and satisfying, with plenty of intrigue and mystery.
And finally there's a new enchantment technique, which offers an interesting development of the usual runes (and left my previously-rich character poor).
All in all, it's a very worthy addition to the main game. Basically, if you enjoyed the main game, and want more, you NEED to get this expansion.
Really nice DLC, i can just recommend it. They also added some new gwent cards, found a first list of it here: http://gwent-cards.com/contact/submit-new-gwent-cards/
I finished the expansion, everything. It is still about Geralt but nothing like the main game. Epic is what it is. The feel/mood of the game is different and the additional ? marks on the map are very nicely designed and atmospherical. The game introduces a secondary storyline from the first witcher game and uses that to make you explore, in addition, every other question mark has its own story, new monsters and incredible design and sound effects. There is an awesome area in the woods with a leshen that is designed the way it should have been!
Now on to the main story. Imagine a Hollywood movie with lots of action and stuff, add some epic emotional story and you got the main plot. The new armor upgrades are awesome, although a bit lacking in diversity. You will have an awesome time to relax and have fun with some of the characters in a series of colorful/joyful missions. Mix that with fast paced action and awesome music and you are in for one hell of a ride. Also, the new bosses require different combat tactics and you need to test and try everything you can.
The biggest improvement are the boss fights and new enemy design. Enemies are now kinda annoying, but you cannot spam anymore, because they are fast, dodge well and can stun-lock you. Each boss has 1 weakness and you must find it, be smart and exploit it at the right time. One of the bosses you can even bait his attacks to your benefit, but the game doesn't tell you. In fact guides don't even tell you how to bait him, i found that on my own.
