Best game i ever player

As the title says, the best game i ever played and i can't wait to play it again with the next-gen update DLC. (I finished it already a few times, but it never gets boring)

Great game with critical bugs

The game is great, I really enjoyed it. However, a critical bug prevents me from continue the story. In Novigrad there is some Gangs quest, which somehow I failed to complete, because there are various ways to choose your next objective. So I reached the Get Junior quest, killed everybody in his mansions and became stuck on the "search Junior mansion..." At this point in time I had a few other MAIN STORYlines, one of which was the boat to Skelige, so I assumed that probably I should finish Skilige and after that the Get Junior quest will somehow become completable. So I played days and days in Skelige, very nice islands, super abundant loots on the bottom of the sea, etc. I completed everything there and returned to Novigrad - and guess what, the Get Junior quest is still stuck, and it's the only thing left to do on the MAIN STORY. Until that moment I didn't realize there's any connection to some secondary side quest "Gangs of something..." and I started reading on the internet. It turns out a lot of people are stuck on this quest, and in my particular case, it seems that because I've failed the Gangs of Novigrad, I cannot do the main line. UNBELIEVABLE - so I've played 200 hundred hours of this amazing game, to understand that because of a failed secondary quest I cannot continue (obviously a bug). The suggestions of people on the internet was to go back to before the Gangs quest failed and replay from there.... haha, this would be an OK strategy, unless you've spent 100 hours of play in Skelige, and do you want to replay all of that again? Very sorry, very dissappointing and very deleted game.

Meh.

I have installed and loaded up this game, played the tutorial and the first few quests multiple times in hope that all the rave reviews would become true for me. I am just not enjoying the game though. Geralt is kind of a jerk. I feel like he is the kind of character who appeals to young teens or early 20 somethings who want to live out this fantasy of being broody and sex-drenched. To me it isn't enjoyable to play out a teenage boy's fantasy. Although I may have tolerated it if the combat didn't feel like getting used to a debilitating handicap. Graphics are pretty though and I love the attention to detail and feel of life in the game. On a final note, I am not saying the 5* reviews are wrong. I just thing the game is not fun for a more mature audience.

Did not learn much from the last games

We still encounter the same problems as before: - The whole item, alchemy, herb collecting is a mess, his constantly amnesia is really getting annoying at this point. His brain must be a sieve with holes as big as the universe itself - Economy is absolutely bonkers, the investment into any contract (time and money) does not even balance out what you have to do. I would understand if this is about the internal universe and stuff but we are talking about my real lifetime and existence on this planet which is limited, don't put a game in front of my that laughs at this fact, fix your economy - They made the equippables even worse. Not just the whole crafting stuff is convoluted as hell, now they have durability. Why? No one knows, how they degrade is mambo janbo as well. Have fun figuring out what degrades how and why. And to keep your stuff not falling apart is as expensive as getting new gear. wtf ... - This game is not rewarding in experience, it's again totally incomprehensible what will give you exp and what not, especially if you think stuff that witchers do would give more than anything else. Nope, does not. What - the open world make you backtrack even more than in the games before, you got a horse now ok, but the concept itself is stll lazy and horrible game-design. This is so absolutely unorganic it's a joke. I'm at a loss here. The same problematic with the games before, instead of doing something really good they do all of it mediocre. At least the art and shiny polygon team had their fun with it. Should have been a graphic-novel.

A Really bad idea

I dont know who had the idea that if a player has the game of the year edition ,add the dlc landmarks to velen even if the player didn' even touched the first main mission of the dlc. It just ruins the progression of completeing the landmarks. I just finished the main story and wanted do complete all of the landmark on velen, but i just simply cant because i am lvl 35 and most of the dlc mobs lvl 39-40. So if i want to complete the landmarks i must start the dlc. The game is awesome, but little details such as this can ruin the players mood during the game.
