Pros:
-It's The Settlers 3 like we all remember from our childhood
-Change resolution with the press of a button
Cons (windows 10):
-Obnoxiously loud music plays that can only be turned off manually by renaming the music folder
-Can't alt+tab out of the game, have to ctrl+alt+del and select task manager
-If u run multiple screens and accidentally move your cursor outside the game window and click anywhere on any of the other screens, your screen where the game was on is locked/non responsive. Only signing out user or restarting the computer fixes it.
GoG really dropped the ball with this one.
I really love GoG for making the classic games run well on the modern system so I got Settlers 3, since my disc copy had a lot of problems with my windows 7.
But the game didn't worked at all, and it took me a lot of time to find the work around which in the end made the game run. It seems like the game have the same problems with modern systems like the disc copy.
I expected more from GoG release.
bought the game cause i grew up with it and super happy to see it all works on windows 11. gameplay is still as great as ever and dont know what the other people who wrote reviews are on about; multiplayer works fine and you dont need to do anything fancy to get it to work properly.
This game is waiting for a review. Take the first shot!
