The Penumbra Collection

...and boy was I in for a ride! I didn't read much about this game, I only knew that it was a horror game in the likes of Amnesia. It seems like Amnesia was the successor to these games, because they feel completely alike. While the first game of the series is rather boring, the second game really shines. I haven't played the third game yet, but I will finish this trilogy. NORMALLY I'm way too scared of horror games (Couldn't finish Amnesia, lol), but this game drew me in while still being scary. The games themselves are not really long (around 4-6 hours long). The puzzles are quite logical for the most part (some you just can't figure out without a walkthrough, but I guess that's ok). I already got out my moneys worth and I'm looking forward to part 3!

This game is by far one of the best horror games ever made. It has also gone down in history as the first game to have the physical interaction system better known to Amnesia, which has been adopted by so many games today. But this masterpiece is far, far more than that. Apart from an eerie atmosphere and puzzles which will actually force you to think, it also has an original and gripping story, which will linger in your mind years after you have finished it. Nothing can possibly describe this game's true worth, and words such as "excellent", "masterpiece", "extraordinary", can only give a hint as to what it actually represents, both as a game in itself and for its contribution to the gaming industry.

5/5 spoops, it's hard to belive Frictional was this good when they first started. I experienced no technical problems and enjoyed it the whole way through.

I think I was about to write how awesome this collection is but... I think I got a slight case of AMNESIA. HE He he....
