A nice gem with some very rough edges
I have a lttle more than two hours under my belt so far and I'm impressed with this game. It feels like MONACO but much less arcade-ish and much more tactical. - The graphics are pretty good, although the asthetics of the environment can make it confusing to know if a room is unlit, or if it just has dark flooring. - All heists are unique and as you progress they become more complex and difficult to pull. They almost feel like puzzles, except that there is more than one way to solve them. Your main apporach can be to use stealth, dash in guns blazing, or more often use a convination of the two. - Controls are a little clunky sometimes making certain quick-reaction situations more frustrating than they should be. For example, you may want to pick up some cash from the floor or a guard you just K.O.d but instead your character's inventory pops up. So you have to move your character away from the object and then try to pick it up again. - The Music is a little repetitive but you can't really tell because it doesn't become annoying. - The 70s theme is well done and quite enjoyable! I've gone from robbing a convinience kiosk with a toy gun for a couple of hundred doallrs to walking away with more than 20k on my back after robbing a well-guarded jewlery store. Granted, I have not played through the enitire game but that brings me to my next point. IT CRASHES TOO OFTEN. I have found myself in the middle of a long planned, carefully executed hesit only to find myself back in desktop. So I cannot progress because I can't pull the longer heists without the game crashing on me. The game is good enough to forgive it, and maybe the problem is on my end (although that is highly doubtful) but until GOG support gets back to me I have decided to grant this excellent game 3 stars. It really deserves 5 but the frustration of having the perfect hesit be taken away from you is unforgivable. So until there is a patch or fix I can't bring myself to give more than 3 stars.
