If you fancy perhaps 1-2 hours of fun with a simple point and click game, this is perfect. The story is solid. I liked the light-hearted take on things. There are no "I didn't see that coming" twists, and no brain-scratching puzzles. It took me back (in a good way) to simpler games from simpler times.
Get it, especially if it's on offer.
Bought it on sale - keep this in mind. My 5 year old played it while I helped her figure out puzzles. Its fairly simple as in at most you have 2-3 items in your inventory at a time so figure out what to do is not very hard. The story is fun and interesting. Doesn't get dark or political, pretty wholesome.
My kid beat it in one 2-3 hr sitting with my help so its true its not very long. For the on sale price tho, it being one of my kids first full immersion into a classic style point and click adventure(beyond Freddy fish/fatty bear) i think it was well worth the money.
4/5 stars because there is an issue or two where you have to click longer or shorter to get the desired action. This mechanic is not mentioned and in a few instances makes you think you are stuck or the game is broken. It also could be longer as the story telling is pretty decent.
Firstg of, what a blessing that this game isn't made by germans. German Point and Click games are always cryptic to no end and often some solution which seems super logical isn't the solution just because. I also liked the help system even trough I wouldn't have needed it, only a nice way to not get bored down. The puzzles where fairly enjoyable and easy enough so that you don't need a walktrough all the way trough. The world that was presented was cutsy and colorful and coudln't have more joyous vibes, even with the bitterns here and there. But that actually makes it so enjoyable even it seemed more aimed for kids. But like all great work for kids it has death in it, this wholesome view on life is what makes this game stick on you as many works before. So they story was great but the trouble is that it is to short for its own good. It really shold be a bit lenghtier here and there, maybe half an hour more playtime would have solved that problem. I mean I enjoy sweet and short but yeah it is kinda hard to give it 5 stars now.
