THE KING OF FIGHTERS 2002

This is why emulators are more popular than re-releases like this. There're soo many options to tweak in emulators, some even sporting better graphics (at least filters), but most of all in this case control customizations. I suppose this is an emulator itself, but a poorly-made emulator with very restricted options, with shiny UI. I would buy KOF 98 UM on PC if only they include all the PS2 enhancements (widescreen, 3d background, enhanced music). But to my suprise, they didn't. And after trying how horrible this 2002 port is, I won't touch any PC ports of the Neo Geo games, like ever. But nevertheless I got this one for free, so beggars can't be chooser right?

On my pc this game runs about 50% faster than it should. It is unplayable.

But just buy The King of Fighters 1998 & 2002 Unlimited Match (a remastered version) available on Steam that includes all what you need for a fighting game like online matches. What you get here is just lazy emulation of arcade version, so no other modes available and no way of rebinding controls. Even the key instruction is inaccurate. Got it while it was free but it isnt an enjoyable expirence, is by no means worth paying any money for. very buggy had a frame rate issue speeding the game up to super sayian levels (over 9000?) then I was getting sound effects that dont match whats happening on screen / I dont enjoy the sound track either, actually started to give me a head ache. the graphics were behidn their time for 2002 as well.
