Good scifi is good
I haven't played the game at all, just felt it was apt to balance out a review where they give 3/5 to a game they haven't even played yet (aside an early free demo or something.) Come on. You expect a 1060 to run a 2023 3d-engine game? If it was a 3d engine that was rendered in 720p and had next to no lighting system, and the polygon count was like in some 2001 game. But, I _will_ buy this game and will write a proper review later. Game is based on the Polished science-fiction writer Stanisław Lem's novel of the same name. Based on the developer stream I watched this week it looks absolutely gorgeous. And there is that feature that so many long games of the past that I have played could have benefited from: the game records moments in your game progress as a visual aid as well aside with some writing to go with it. So many times I've been playing otherwise great long games, taken off for months because life happens and then return to be like totally stumped. What? Where? Who? Anyhow. I will end this praise with a quote from Wikipedia that is supposedly what Lem said about American science-fiction of the time that in my not-humble opinion fits really well to describe big part of the gaming industry of 2023 as well (hey I didn't say most part, just a big part, mark): "...describing it as ill-thought-out, poorly written, and interested more in making money than in ideas or new literary forms." Anyhow. Get a proper gpu if you want to play this :) Peace and love to you all, and much thanks for making this gem, devs! Yours, Super.
