The Evil Within 2 gives you more options to play your way in a much bigger survival-horror playground than the original. Although a disjointed plot and weak protagonist make it slow to get started, being pursued through an intriguingly bizarre world by plentiful and disturbing monsters kept my palms sweaty and my heart in my throat thanks to a strict adherence to the most important survival horror rule: you should always be on the back foot.

A great game, but with a couple of bugs.
The Evil Within 2 is a great survival horror, although it does suffer from a noticeable amount of bugs and issues. Though if you can get past those, there is a lot of fun to be had, whether you're sneaking around or going guns blazing.

DANG SON! Awesome escapist adventure.
I loved it. Derivative, not perfect, but really fun and spooky. A mix of Resident Evil (too derivative of that) & Prey.

Really good game
A bit clunky and initially didn't think I would like it but I kept playing and within less than an hour I started to enjoy it. I am not particularly paying any interest to the story either but just enjoying the ride. I cant even remember when I got this game but I finished the first one on Steam and realised I had this here... Recommended

shoot your demons in the face
Just finished it yesterday. The more I think about it, the more I love it. Gameplay itself is good, weapons are doing what they are supposed to do, survival thing is that you are picking your battles, limited supplies don't really allow you to fight with everything. It is fun. But the game really shines in the themes it's showing. You learn to fight some twisted monsters, yes, but more important, you learn to fight your own demons. You are facing your traumas, you must do that, to be able to move forward. And this part is still with you, when the game's finished, like after a good movie. I strongly recommend it.
