I am a bit of game hoarder so have Skyrim on both Steam and GOG but reacently is my first time actually playing the GOG version and to my suprise the mouse is actually really responsive, still need a few small tweaks but its miles better than the Steam version which has bad mouse lag and requires work to get acceptable

Skyrim plus its original DLCs is very good. It is a true open world where you can go anywhere and do anything. The Anniversary edition mods, which are written by Skyrim players, are not of the same quality as Bethesda's own DLCs. The best 4 mods are bundled for free with the Special Edition and so there is no need to buy the Anniversary edition.
