A Game of Freedom, Choices & Adventure!
From exploring multiple locations. Building your own home. To leveling your character. This game has a ton of other things now since the release of the "Anniversary Edition". Like more quests & activities like fishing. Finding the perfect build for your character & forging gear to enchanting it thus providing further benefits is also quite entertaining & interesting. Though that was already in the base game. Developing your character the way you want is truly your choice. Complete quests at your own pace or don't. You can completely disregard the main story/campaign altogther & do other things.

Took them long enough
Basically the BEST version of Skyrim. - DRM-free - all the DLCs and community contents included - it supports Switchable GPUs like Nvidia Optimus. Something the day1 release of Skyrim did not support. So if you have a laptop or a low power gaming PC with switchable GPUs or an APU, this version here runs with it. (tested on a Asus ROG GR6 with Intel HD 5500 and Nvidia GTX960M) However the Special Edition also installs ALL the language packs at once. No way to chose during install. So if you do not need the other ones, delete them manually after the game was installed. Not only will the game run perfectly fine, you also save a ton of Storage space. However keep in mind that not all mods will work, unless they are deliberately made for the Special Edition or are at least made compatible.

Still playing after all these years
I bought Skyrim pretty close to its first release date (and then again for Special Edition, and then again Anniversary Edition), and I'm still not tired of it. The diverse and rich mods available have constantly breathed new life into this game, with different updates to graphics as well as new quest lines, objects, dialogue, characters, etc, all as lore-friendly as you wish, or not. It's great to see a DRM-free version.
