First, this Game let's you have a incredible Freedom - It is not for everybody!
The first Time i've played as a early Teenager i was just lost in it.
I had no clue what to do in this Game because i only knew linear Games.
But later as a Adult, my Gosh, this gives you the Freedome to be what you want in this set alien World.
If you want to role play and to settle in a World, this is for you, there is nothing nearly else.
Graphic-wise this game may not meet the expectations of may people who are used to modern games. However, if you look past the graphics and hone in on literally everything else... then you can discover the beauty that lies within Morrowind. Large open world, immersive music and game-play, open towns and farms to explore. Many, many items to collect and use. And, highly modded, for those who like that. Many mods exist for this game to expand the experience even more. The other nice part of this game is that most likely your computer can handle it easily even if you don't own a souped-up gaming computer, and it still provides you with hours and hours of fun. Do yourself a favor and get this game.
Oh, Morrowind.
To say I've bought and paid for this title in full at least 5 times over would not be exaggeration. To say I've spend blood, tears, and toil on the same would be fair as well.
Two decades devoted to this game and I'm still as ardent an admirer as the day we met.
It's a brutal beast- unforgiving, and unapologetic, alien and unflinching in its disdain for any brazen soul that expects a gently held hand upon leaving the Excise office, but there is such depth, outlander, so much for you to explore, to unearth.
More usefully: The UI is wonderful. The world is the story is the Island is all, and entwine magnificently, and I still find new things to this day, though I swear to you I've combed every inch of every polygon of this game. The immersion is immense, and for those sensitive to such matters, the mod community has brought the graphics up to date beautifully. The roleplay, ah. The mechanics a roleplayers heaven.
The *battle* mechanics themselves now are somewhat clunky and may take adjusting to. They have their own charm in my opinion, but not everyone agrees. Still, the die-roll based hit chance is a sharp surprise if accustomed to newer titles.
All told, it's worth trying. It's acquired taste perhaps, but it's a very fine meal.
The most charming and nostalgic of the Elder Scrolls games. This is a real RPG where you have to use your head with no quest markers or "points of interest". A real old-school RPG with awesome senses of exploration and quite deep roleplaying opportunities. Morrowind is such a cool setting in Elder Scrolls as well. Overall, a brilliant game from the golden era...before horse armor (ironically from Bethesda).
