Black Mirror 1

This game didn't age well. Unfortunately it's a game from that peculiar period when pre-rendered 3d models were considered top-notch gfx and game creators were showing them off all the time. So the pace of the game itself is sooooo slow and annoying that I can't bear to play this one through. And some interface choices are simply bad. Clicking several time on a suitcase to get subsequent items from it (and each one is soooo slow). No, sorry. Not worth my time.

This is an overall good story destroyed by terrible keyboard controls. You spend 90% of your time lost in the dark trying to workout which way your character is going. Simply puzzles require you to carryout multiple needless steps leaving you marching across the house having interactions with characters. Your companion has the light but is constantly miles from you. Annoying.

As soon as I installed this game, upon launching, the game immediately crashed. The error message read, "agds.exe has stopped working." Forum research revealed that GOG _is still selling_ this version which is absolutely riddled with problems. GOG advises to "send a support ticket." Ok, so... GOG, why not sell a fixed version of the game? We've heard it's one of the best games ever! For the $9.99 that I flushed down the toilet, I would rather forget about this horrific, disappointing ordeal (it _was_ going to be Christmas present!) and try to spread the word to folks against purchasing this version.

I remember playing it years ago, because it's originally a Czech game, and it's mediocre in every respect. Mundane occult plot, uninteresting characters, usual inventory chores. There are far better games out there.

ok, I have played this once upon a time.... i think its a trilogy (parts 2+3)....this is part 1. haven't played the sequels.... from what I recall, it was not a great game.... it has dark atmosphere (pros) and many plot-holes/bad scripting(cons).... gamespot rating mediocre
