The Bard's Tale Trilogy

Super excited to have this classic RPG updated! Game play as been greatly enhanced. The graphics are fantastic and the ability to save the game is a wonderful feature. I'm excited to see what happen with the rest of the trilogy.

It was 30 years ago when I first played this game. I have played it many times through the decades using various emulators because the DOS version is so ugly (granted, it is the fastest and most stable version). This do-over is very nice. I have only played for a few minutes and I am totally enjoying the makeover. Great job guys, great job.

I love this remake, it is fun to play. Played BT back in the years on the Commodore 64, later on PC. Now, this remake brings back the fun an the memories.

Welcome to Bard's Tale. I think anyone who was into CRPGs played Bard's Tale. And if they didn't - a piece of their childhood is missing - but! Fear not, good traveler! GoG has made it so you can twist the veil back and step through the time capsule and enjoy these incredibly fun classic games! I remember spending hours on that first character creation screen with the bard strumming by the fireplace, waiting for me to decide who is going to be in my party. Highly recommend this game if you enjoy the classics. This one is definitely one!

Like liverneck, I started playing the Bards Tale series in 1985, but it had been about 30 years since I last played it. This update is a real treasure. Every aspect of the game has been lovingly re-created. The graphics are state-of-the-art but otherwise unchanged from the original. Game play is also true to the original, but with improvements which make it much more playable. No more typing 4-letter codes to cast spells. I don't know how younger gamers would respond to this series, but for anyone who plays and enjoys old-school RPGs, this one is a must-have. Solid gold.
