Kate Walker, a young ambitious lawyer from New York, is handed what seems to be a fairly straightforward assignment. Just a quick stopover to handle the sale of an old automaton factory hidden in the alpine valleys, then straight back home to New York. Little did she imagine, when embarking on this task, that her life would be turned upside down.

On her expedition across Europe, traveling from Western Europe to the far reaches of Eastern Russia, she encounters a host of incredible individuals and locations full of extraordinary machines and an amazing atmosphere. In her attempt to track down Hans, the genius inventor - the final key to unlock the secret of Syberia - she will traverse both land and time on a journey that will throw all that she values into question, while the deal she sets out to sign turns into a life-changing experience.

Nice story, good puzzles

It would be a 5/5 but the game crashed after 4 hours, and I haven't made a save file yet... It was bit annoying to do it again. It's a good point and click, but keep this in mind, and save often!

I was suprise it catched me!

This old Gem, really catched me with its story! Even for an old Game i guess it looks pretty decent, for its time. ( NOte: I am a Retrofan and collector!) If you want to start Point and Click and never played one before i would suggest, Syberia 1 it is. Gives a good feeling about the genre overall in my Opinion and it is my first as said. I am glad i now experienced this Game!

Very immersive "steam punk" Adventure

This game is an adventure steam punk style point and click adventure. The music is beautiful, the graphics are wonderful for a game made over 24 years ago in 2002. I am the type of player who needed hint books in the 1980's, but now with youtube, im able to watch a walkthrough to help me out in areas that Im stuck in. If you like old point and click games like Kings Quest, this is far more advanced than that and I think you will like this too.
