"We grew up playing games such as Gothic or Titan Quest, so in this game, we used everything we loved about old-school RPGs. We mixed it with Slavic mythology, dressed it in a modern suit, and then told our story through it."
Meditative Exploration: This is a slow-paced RPG, and a significant amount of time will be spent in peaceful exploration of a vast, handcrafted world. Discover new places, gather loot, collect plants for cooking and alchemy.
Evolving World: As you play, the world will change on its own, and you will be informed through world events. Experience the seasons and a day-and-night cycle, where days are peaceful, and nights are safer within the secure walls of a village. Other characters also have their daily cycles, and you will come across them wandering or trading between towns. Help one faction dominate the world, buy houses, upgrade them, and much more.
Impactful Combat: You will have enough time to prepare for combat, utilizing your skills and the environment to outsmart enemies. With hundreds of items, a vast selection of skills and builds, talents, and more, you can prepare for combat. If that's not enough, you can always hire mercenaries for assistance.
Story: While factions are divided on Earth, gods themselves are divided in the sky. Throughout the campaign, you will not only follow their story but also decide how it will end, as this game has multiple endings. Your choices will shape not only the story but also the world around you.
Soul Lost Between the Worlds: With every death, you will return to the underworld to speak with the god of that domain and then resurrect with a new character. We spent years perfecting this mechanic, so discover why players love how we implemented it in this game. Not only will you change characters, but you can also transform into beasts and animals.
Old prophecy:
"Svarog, the first god, created six worlds and fell asleep. In his dream, he created the seventh world, Earth. Once he wakes up, Earth will cease to exist."

If you want an immersive game and choices that matter to you... as a person in the real world... this game is for you. I dont miss NPC voice dialog since after you hear it once you click thru it anyway. Got both the main game and the expansion. I wanted a game that has lots of hours and replay ability and this fits the bill just like Titan Quest, POE, or the Diablo series. Also, a great team of developers put their heart and soul into this...they deserve the financial rewards for putting a game out there that educates you on moral choices and consequences.... as opposed to just mindless gaming. Go back in time to great story and great games again. Buy it, buy it now.
A+++
I recently just heard of this game, and so glad that I did! It is fantastic!
It's made from a team of literally 2 people, a husband and wife!
If Diablo 1+2, WarTales and perhaps Witcher 3 and Skyrim (if they were top down games) had a child, I feel like this game would be that!
The crafting mechanics are also super well done.
It's not a "in your face" Action RPG but definitely has it's moments.
My suggestion, go into this game “blind.” Just play it without tons of research. You’ll be glad you did.
Svarog’s Dream is an old-school RPG that’s a wonderful homage to games and series that we see far too little of nowadays. It may not have the star power nor the budget of Diablo IV and Baldur’s Gate 3, but that doesn’t mean its world is any less enthralling to explore and get killed in.
What a great game. Now if you're looking for Baldur's Gate 4 or the newest Dragon's Age you'll be disappointed. But if you are looking for a game that is entertaining and enjoyable, great music, and even (under one of skill sets) has hunting dogs (!), here you go. An RPG cozy game I guess you could say. The builders mention Titian Quest as an inspiration. I do wish there was a little more on the magic skill tree but you do well with what is there. The player does have to wait for a few minutes before you can get a spell book, that should be fixed.
I put on an audiobook and play this game for hours.
