Supreme Commander Gold Edition

Improved Total Annihillation (from long dead Cavedog studios, by some of the original team), I played this game when it was new and fresh in 2007 for many years, when sequel (Supreme Commander 2) come out I switched for a few weeks to SC2 but sequal was INFERIOR in so many ways that I switched back to SC1. When Gas Povered Games servers were turned off I switched to FAF servers and played community edition. There are some problems with running huge maps as this game dosn't work well with modern CPUs but still after 14 years I see no better, more polished fully-fledged RTS game.

The only issue with this is that it is old, therefore it is not optimized to use all the power of your CPU. But the graphics still look decent, actually quite great (better than SupCom 2, which has nothing to do with this game...) 4 factions that play quite different and are different enough so that you don't feel like you are using the same strategy with 2 different factions. THIS deserves a true remaster, GPG is unfortunately no more. It is a game worth even 15 euros. The AI is nice to play against, you can always have a bit of fun. Change your strategies if you get bored.

From your Command Mech, control Air, Land and Sea upon massive maps (if you wish) Plays fantastic even now it belays it's age. One of those games if you have any interest in the genere it's a must own. 10/10

Quite simply the most content rich, highly polished. inutive and enjoyable RTS ever made. I grew up saying Age of Empires 2 was the best RTS ever made (and it is still an extremely timeless game) but forged alliance just offers too much. This is the only RTS game that feels like WAR where others might have themes or aesthetics of war, they mostly boil down to small scale skirmishes. Obviously get this on sale if you can, but even at full price this game is MORE than worth it, you'll never regret this purchase.
