Super 3-D Noah's Ark

This Game is surprisingly good. The Wolf3D/Doom Formula is preserved in this biblicale Adventure, this Version has even some Improvements over Wolf 3D: A Map! (that was also present in the SNES Version of Wolf 3d). Runing around, finding Secrets and shooting Food to Animals to lay them asleep, it is Fun! 5 Stars because you can quickly start it and have some Rounds of good Entertainment.

This game might be the biggest knockoff of the 90's, but it keeps up with the best. Shooting goats and being Noah just adds to everything. Wolfenstein can't hold a candle to its competition. Id software should have realized their game would be transformed into a masterpiece. Would recommend to anyone looking to save the new world from the goats taking over the Ark, and saving humanity.

Despite the infamy the game acquired throught the years (mostly because of reviews mocking the biblical settings this game takes place, which is in fact a lame excuse just to create a family friend game), Super 3-D Noah's Ark is unexpectedly well designed. Although using pretty much the vanilla Wolf3d engine without much deviation, Wisdom Tree made sure to use the engine to its full extent, adding not only textured floors and ceilings, but also an automap, entirely new levels and a complete graphics revamp, making it one of the most complete TC mods ever made for Wolfenstein 3D. Given the fact the original developers were actually intending to make a Hellraiser game, one might wonder that whatever good ideas were planned for it just ended up adapted to Noah's Ark, which is probably why you can see traces of very good level design scattered over the levels, despite being sadly diminished by the ridiculous story setting the tone for the game. It must have been as disappointing for them to repurpose their efforts to a family friend game as it was for us not getting Hellraiser or another bloody demon slashing FPS. Nevertheless, for what it is, Noah's Ark does a great job at killing time, and if you do keep in mind that the christian bullshit is there just for the sake of appealing to christian bookstores (the only stores that accepted Wisdom Tree games, and therefore, their source of incoming), even the quiz might be entertaining to play. In the end, it's a matter of faith seeing through the obvious deception and appreciating the core design Super 3-D Noah's Ark offers.

Gotta say this game is absolutely adorable (especially the sound design made me smile a lot while playing) and this brand new PC port was done amazingly well. It plays fantastically and i was surprised how challenging the difficulty becomes with each new level. So yeah it's definitely a entertaining challenge. I don't think you have to be religious to love this game. It's pretty open for everyone. But if you enjoy the Gospel and wanna play something enjoyable, family friendly and without violence, this game might be just the right thing for you. Definitely worthy of a recommendation. Especially this remastered PC port. Excellent work!
