Sunrider Academy

This Review is about the 1.02 Version at Steam. Sunrider Academy is a mixture of a Visual Novel and what I would call timeslot management. The game go over 10 Month a 50 days where you have to decide for 3 (or more) timeslots each day what you want to do. In my opinion the things you can do in each timeslot are to limited to be a good timeslot management game and the VN part on showing up now and then make it feel like work to go trough the 500 days. The game could have been good if it was compressed in like 200 days or less but with 500 days it drag out to long.

absolutely trash balancing. you're going to spend most of your time just catching up with stress levels. frankly i don't see how there is even time or room to make money. you are told exercising reduces stress but if you happen to interact with someone and it doesn't go well you have now wasted an entire turn intent on reducing stress only to leave more stressed. on top of that stress reduces your chances of reducing stress and the more stress you have you more you accumulate. it is an unbelievably stupid system. don't even waste the 2.50 getting it on sale.

I loved the Mask of Arcadius so I bought this game on sale. The game is insanely difficult with arbitrary failures that force you to restart. Rather than feeling like you've accomplished something, it's a source of frustration. Further, the game is a grind, and so when you do have to restart, the grind ahead of you looks rightfuly daunting. It's a poorly designed game. Worst of all, the main character is completely unrelatable; he is a total cuck. Gamma wish fulfillment.
