Succumate

I bought this game in another storefront, and I if I knew it was coming to GOG I would have definetively waited. This game is from the creators of Summer Memories, one of the most beloved and best h-games on this site. It is indeed smaller and simpler than Summer Memories, but the quality I believe is the same. I think I even prefer the lewd in this game, being focused on only one girl (with some secundary heroines) means more work went on her scenes. Also the lateral camera during the h-scenes animations I think looks better than the zoomed out perspesctive of Summer Memories. Finally, the protagonist is a college student, so no shota shenanigans in here (except a scene with side characters). But my favorite part are the between character animations (both lewd and non-lewd). They are really well done and almost look like from a classic anime. The main girl is super cute, adorable and sexy and the side heroines do not stay behind. Finally the main plot is also short but engaging with a twist at the end. In conclusion this is a very good lewd game, so give it some love.

This game start off with a bang, and doesn't let go. The animation is great, as are the H scenes, and the story is also really good. The game is a bit janky, but there was never a point where I was truly "stuck", and I managed to 100% it without too much trouble. The difficulty of managing your time and money is hectic at first, but with a bit of practice and time, you'll figure a good schedule and how to manage everything properly. Even on Normal difficulty, I never once ran out of time on the assignments. And the characters were fun to discover and explore, too! Unfortunately, the ending for the game left me cold as ice. Without getting into spoilers (much), it basically takes everything you've done and rips it to pieces in front of you. It's so bad that, despite having fun with the game up to that point - right up to the name drop at the very end itself - I doubt I'll be touching this one again. Literally 2 whole starts down the drain for this ending alone. If there was a sequel (and there is technically room for one), my opinion would be different, but this title is pretty old, so the likelihood of that happening is nill. Thus, while I can recommend it for those who want some good H scenes to release themselves with, OR I can recommend it for those who want an engaging story, I can't recommend it for anyone who wants both. If you plan on 100%ing this one, be prepared to potenatially never pick it up or fap to it ever again. You have been warned.

Story: Unlike Summer Memories (Which I actually like more overall than this game) this game actually has a story that I really enjoyed. It's a simple concept but works so well because of the Mystery/deduction elements. I'm not going to say much else to not spoil but the story in this game, despite being short, is actually very enjoyable and interesting once you get the third ending. Gameplay: So this aspect is going to be the biggest deal breaker for some people. If you have played Summer Memories, the gameplay of this game is pretty similar but can be a lot more annoying. There are a good bit of "meters" and stats to keep track of and, like summer memories, when you start out, it can be daunting and confusing, but once you get the hang of it, the routine becomes simple and rewarding. Having to constantly use items to keep your "tiredness" down and "hunger" up is BY FAR the most annoying part of the game, I could have really gone without these 2 meters existing. Certain girls and activities are only available at certain times so that is also annoying. Sex Stuff: Pretty much the main reason to download the game. Like other dojin-otome games, the H-stuff in this game is premium. I'm a sucker for pixel stuff so I love the scenes in this game. They are also animated very well with sound to make the experience so much better. Scenes defiantly feel rewarding to earn. Dirty talk is also decent but could be better. All in all, if you got like 4-6 hours to spare, give this game a shot it's worth it.

The main point of any adult game should be the "acts". Sadly Vigor stat in Succumate does not regenerate by sleeping. As to what is Vigor stat, it's a meter that allows for "acts" to occure and how long said "acts" can last. This creates a problem. In order to get the Vigor, one needs to buy the "potions" from a doctor. However that requires "currency", which can be earned by doing some minigames. Sadly minigames are dull and will take MAJORITY of the player's time. Sure there are some ways to increase the three gauges ( Sleep, Vigor and Hunger ) but like I've said before it requires currency and that requires doing boring mini games. There are some "side characters" available to play with but honestly, cutscenes are limited and add to that "vigor stat" problem and the pursue of such side quests is not worth the hassle. Main Story is the only motivation I had as "succubus" who lives with the MC, has a personality of a wooden plank. Luckily next game from Dojin Otome solves all of those problems. I would recommend picking Summer Memories over Succumate any day.
