Succumate

It's a cute game with an actually decent story, but the "censored" version sold through GoG feels like an unfinished version from the development process. Translations in a few places are incomplete and gameplay is a bit buggy. Examples: There's a guitar-playing minigame where you're occasionally asked to push an arrow key for extra points. The arrow prompts never appear. If you randomly hit arrow keys throughout the 'minigame' you'll occasionally get the bonus regardless, but there's no prompt for them. The fidget-spinner mini-game is virtually unplayable because your attack and defense options don't work. Any text in the text boxes longer than a single line is often just cut off and there's no way of finding out what it says. When you "give energy" to the succubus, it doesn't actually drain your vitality, which is one of the main mechanicsthe game, etc. Instead of redrawing the art to censor the cartoons animating the story sequences of the game you just have the story text and a picture of a blue, cloudy sky. The game is "playable" for the most part, but those are all things which you'll just have to live with unless you patch it. There's a patch available on the Kagura Games website which fixes all of these problems and uncensors the game. Everything plays out and feels better, some of the art for locations and characters is updated beyond just the adult content. If the sex and lewdness doesn't bother you (or if that's specifically what you're looking for) then you'll definitely want to get the patch from their website. If you dont' want to give Kagura Games your personal information (it's free, but you have to 'purchase' it through their system for $0.00) there are some mirrored sites you can search for which host it.

Compared to Summer Memories, this game has many game limitations. You can´t change positions freely as you do in Summer Memories and the resources farming like working in the restaurant becomes really annoying since you only do that to gain a considerable amount of money. The ending is really unique and an impressive plot twist, but definitely a grim one. Succumate is the kind of game you play once, with little reason to play again. It´s cool to witness they changed many things on the following games they made and how they improved the gameplay of time management.

I purchased this because I was such a fan of My Summer Memories, but this game is not in the same league for me. My first issue is that this seems like a game that could have come out in the '90s. The sprites don't bother me as much but the pixelation of the H-Scenes did. There is no easy access to back/forward or to stop the text from appearing letter by letter, which is something I have a hard time with. Couple this with what felt like a more extreme grind just to handle food and sleep, and I didn't really do much past chapter 1 (first mission). It's cheap, and some may appreciate the retro appearance of the game and may not mind the grind. I had hoped for something on par or better than My Summer Memories, but I suspect this game came out first and Memories simply improved on it (all in very good ways). I won't go one star with my review, because I do think that some will enjoy this. It's sadly just not for me although I'd love to see more games in this and Memories style (but less painful grind and better graphics).

I got this game in the bundle that GOG had awhile back and finally got around to trying it. I don't understand why anyone voted this game up. The translation is almost completely unintelligible, the UI is one of the worst I've ever seen, and without a guide there's no way to figure almost anything out. On top of that I've hit a point where the game continuously crashes because it can't find a sound file that has a Japanese filename. I've setup my computer's to locale to Japan and repaired the files, but even that hasn't fixed it.

The developer was clearly trying to break out of the autistic japanese mindset of "tell dont show" when it comes to making actual video games. Only problem is that this is just not a great porn game because of the grind during the H gameplay. You wont get enough time to get your rocks off until grinding several hours into the game because of how poorly this was designed.
