So, there is plenty to say about this game. In one word: it's fantastic! The variaty of events, the hughe amount of possibilities to guide your empire through the Galaxy, Wars and Crysis and the astonishing graphics. I like that game really much you know... Everyone who likes to play complex strategy games with endless opportunities (and acting in Space) should play this game.
So the other reason I am so hyped today is that it is now on GOG. I waited and hoped that it would come but there was absolutely no reason why the developers should go this step but for petes sake I am happy that they got to this point. I am sick of DRM thanks for that!

Excellently done UI with readily accessible information which doesn't clutter the screen. Even the font chosen fits so perfectly. A Civ-game being a game and not a spreadshit simulator!
Expensive game if bought when not on sale, but very very enjoyable with all the add ons. This game with all it's add ons gets me what I paid for, lengthy deep thinking story after story to pass time with. One of the best strategy games I've played in 45 years of gaming history, thanks Paradox Interactive et.c.
I've played many hours of this game via Steam. There is a little bit of a learning curve as there's no tutorial, but instead there's plenty of helpful tooltips to guide you around. Eventually you'll know your way around the UI and what to do in game and the galaxy is yours for the taking!.
Love this game on PC and was very excited to see that it says it will run on mac. However, when I installed it and tried to run it, it said I need the paradox launcher to run it, which appears to be Windows only. :( You should change it's listing so that folks don't waste their time.
