Lots of width, no depth, kinda buggy

Another game that confuses grinding numbers with depth (as so many players). Only because a game gives you a lot to do, it does not mean it has a lot of content... Maybe I should have played more than the first few battles, but the ground-combat, which is mostly the main part of this game, feels totally boring. Different weapons? Don't matter, just kill stuff. Usable Skills? Don't matter, you just get more DMG. Perks? You get more DMG. Combos/Interdependencies (which skills/perks combined gives you an advantage in which situation)? Not in the game and wouldn't matter, just do more DMG to kil stuff. The rest is just grinding to get your numbers up to unlock new weapons and they do what? Yeah you guessed right: more dmg. Space Combat is as boring as in Starpoint Gemini: Figure out how you can play then rinse and repeat. Over and over and over and over again. The problem with procedurally generated worlds/games is, that you have to put in content that's not just repeatable. There must be a clear goal and subgoals, which are fun to achieve or at least challenging. I know, this is an Beta, but after 6 years of developement, I still encountered a "need-to-reload"-bug cause of clipping in the third (!) visited area, something an isometric RPG should not really have any trouble with, ever. If you like to just grind like in 25 years old RPGs and repeat doing the same stuff over and over again, go for it. These who hope for something similar like Wasteland/Atom RPG, this is hardly for you. Maybe in a couple of years.

Great game already!

I got a steam key as a prize a few years back and started playing it last year (2021) in December I had such ablast that I bought it here on GOG again to support the developer. The game has a solid base of game play and the story missions are being implimented now, The developer is very responsive about fixing bugs that crop up as developement progress. The game play remindes me of Traveler from back in the 90's as you have your own ship as well as participating in bording and planetside combat with your characters. Over all I can't recomend this game enough if you are in to turnbased tactical combat as well as ship to ship combat get this and support a great developer.

Potential Fellow Early Adoptee Gamers

I just purchased this game specifically because I like the genre and I love supporting Indie Devs, especially if they are SOLO! I loaded up the game and for me it works and I was pleasantly surprised at what I saw. There is a lot under the hood, I am happy with my purchase. IMHO which means nothing! I am not here to White Knight or Troll the game. I am here to advocate for both The Developer & The Consumer. I gave the game 4 stars because IMHO which means nothing, I felt it is better than some of the other early games I have invested in. I am going to say something that I feel in this day and age 2020 needs to be said. "Caveat Emptor" latin for Buyer Beware! What it means is the consumer has the ultimate responsibility when purchasing anything. Please THINK carefully before you buy any game in either Early Acces or In Development. Not all games come with a 14 day return policy. Especially if it is Early Access. Here are the Facts: You as the consumer by buying an Early Access/In Development Game are gambling on said game. Because you are taking a risk by backing a NOT fully released game, you generally get a price break because it is implied your purchase is helping out the Developer of said game to bring to full release. You also have some what of an implied obligation to help test and report bugs and otherwise be part of the community that brings said game into Full Release as close to 100% as possible. Think of this as protecting your investment. Please for your own sanity and well being, if you can't afford to risk the investment on a game in Early Access or In Development or if you don't have the patience to see it through to Full release then DO NOT BUY THE GAME!!!! Thanks in advance for reading my comment.

Seems nice, but interface feels sluggish

The game seems like something I would really like, with a cool setting and options. But so far at least, the interface has really made me not want to play. The mouse movement, and the responsiveness of the controls is just so sluggish. It feels like everything is moving in molasses. During the tutorial when events occur that are meant to move the story along, something happens... three seconds pass... then you see a notice that the event happened... three more seconds pass... then the body disappears... then three seconds pass.. then you are told that the next event is available. It isn't that the game is slow paced, I enjoy slow paced tactical games, it is that the interface to the game seems painfully and unnecessarily slow. Hope that they can improve the interface snappiness, because it would really help my enjoyment of the game.

It's okay...

I bought the game on Steam several years ago, and have spent a few dozen or so hours playing the game. Here are a few (mostly negative) observations. 1. The ground combat is slow-ish and involves a lot of pixel hunting. 2. There is no movement grid on the ground, so you will frequently end up placing a character in a weird spot with no way to "undo" the move. 3. Space travel is restricted to a two-dimensional plane. I don't see the point of why they bothered creating 3D polygonal ship/planet/solar system models when they could have just made space travel 2D completely. 4. I was hoping for (and felt like I was promised) space travel/combat more like the Homeworld or Star Wolves series. I am disappoint. 5. There is a lot of gear with similar stats, so it sometimes feels like there is no point having all these choices. It just makes the game more tedious. AFAIK, there are also no bonuses for collecting gear in the same complete "set" (but I may be wrong). That is all.
