Welcome addition to the PaC genre

Point and click adventure with horror themaetic, the game works just asit should, I didn't find any "moon logic" puzzles, but pixel hunting is still required some times, graphics are good, great ambience, sound is good, but not great, sound loops are noticeable if you pay attention and the voice acting is sometimes good, sometimes meh. Storywise John is kind of slow on taking in the gravity of his situation and keeps looking for his family even tho every PDA you find states how everyone dies (hardly a spoiler), but I'll cut him some slack since being in stasis for months or years would probably have such side effects. There are also story points that make no sense, but talking about them would be major spoilers. Also, what's up with the art? At some point I saw a row of typebars in a console, like if it was a typewriter, without keyboard or anything. There are little details like that all over the place, which only makes me question the sanity of the protagonist, even tho nowhere in the game is hinted at this being some sort of comatose dream (unlike Sanitarium). Something very annoying is that there are no settings in game, but they come in a separate executable, and sometimes the volume levels reset to max for no reason. To avoid this, use Winndows' volume mixer to lower the game's volume, funny how windows remembers what volume levels you want for this executable, but the game itself fails at it. Enjoyable game, great atmosphere, but somewhat weak story. Still worth a playthrough, we don't get many horror PaC adevntures so the addition is welcome.

Nothing new under the sun

Atmosphere, graphics and sound effects are top notch. But gameplay is absolutely linear and interaction is limited to "use this object on that object to advance". OK, that's the standard adventure paradigma, but on modern games I would expect some innovation. Nice experience, but not a game to remember.

Wow

Sound / Design / Story are all lovely combined to put you in a stunning story of Sci-Fi / Horror which let you discover a big spaceship with a full variety of rooms, resolve puzzles and enigmas, and appreciate the development of the story. A really MUST HAVE for anyone that juste love good games.

Walking, loading, pixel hunting

Walking around empty rooms trying to solve puzzles is not fun or scary. Most of the puzzles are a pixel hunt for items you have no idea you would need. Most of your time is spent walking back and forth slowly between rooms and loading screens. hoping that you will find that one item on the floor you can barely see that will some how be useful. Spent 12 hours playing it trying WANTING to like it but gave up. I feel bad seeing this game on the Insomnia sale. "25 people have to buy this game to get to the next one, i feel bad for those 25 people"

Could have been great

Nicely detailed game, although using a lot of standard sci-fi horror tropes, this game scores well for atmosphere. What lets it down is the incessant pixel hunting to find the hotspots. I don't really understand why this is as this was a problem that was solved back in 1995 (Simon the Sorcerer 2). Other problems are - a lack of clues, so a lot of the problems devolves into combine everything with everything (an exercise in frustration if you've missed the necessary hotspot); the mouseover text being in the corner instead of where you're mousing over, taking you're attention away from the pixel hunt; some of the things you need to use items with have the interact (hand) icon, and some have the look (eye) icon. This makes it needlessly confusing as you can't distinguish between look icons that you need to do something to and those that are fluff TL;DR This is a great early 90's game, unfortunately it's not the early 90's
