A bit on the monotonous side, but that's one of the drawbacks of a crawler. Could be a bit more variety to mobs as well. The randomized gear makes it fun, and the classes each have their own playing methods (Hacker is a Dot master, Soldier is the standard "Hit it until it dies; keep hitting it until you gets bored"... Void Psycher is a bit of a trick to play: it can be just as dangerous to you as your enemies.) Hacking is kind of fun; it's almost exactly the same as it is in the Genesis version of Shadowrun.

20 hrs in and I love it, enthusiastic recommend, esp. for old school fans of this kind of game. there's a little bit of a learning curve, but once you get the jist of the character classes and vibe of the gameplay, this is a great take on the genre, full of cyberpunk atmosphere and piles of loot. recommended level on missions is no joke as med kits are in short supply and powering up your cyberdeck often is a good idea. I love that you can check your rep. at a phone booth and call up your patrons for favors, or just to talk. great stuff.

Somewhat rough around the edges, but the core gamplay is really really nice! 8 character classes with 3 interesting skill trees each, solid story and greatsi-fi feeling. The crpg grid is used very well (you can move fast and have free look so its not as slow as other crpgs) and the replayability is high. I highly enjoyed the game. It took me around 35h to beat.

i used to love this game if you get hooked at 1st playthru its amazing if you lose/delete save and want to return its terrible not to mention game have tendency to endlessly respawn enemies making basic jobs very tedious generally speaking i wish it could be better game, but its not bad i wish i could replay it without being bored to death or wanting to quit due to tediousness

What makes this title so unique compared to others is neither setting nor combat system nor the general style, all of which I enjoyed a lot. However, what makes it actually stand out is that its procedurally generated "dungeons" (that are, in fact, office buildings, mines, facilities and abandoned ships) don't start feeling repetitive even after quite a while. Even when you start recognising individual blocks as it always happens with procedural generation, there is always a feeling of exploration and that a game still has something to surprise you.
