STAR WARS™: X-Wing Alliance™

For those of you with the insert disc issue: I installed from Galaxy and had the issue, then grabbed and ran the offline installer and it resolved the issue. I still had my plt file from the msn gaming zone days and it still works so yay! I looked for old mods, New Craft Add etc are long gone, but do yourself a favor and look at getting the XWAU pack and TFTC. Both are still active. I'm using a Thrustmaster T1600m with no issues, Win 11, a 4080, and AMD cpu, no issues.

The Problem is a broken filename. - Open the installation folder of the game and search for the launcher shortcut: "Launch Star Wars™ - X-Wing Alliance" - right click on properties - got to destination - change at the end alliance.exe to XWINGALLIANCE.exe - save your changes and game will start correctly via GOG Galaxy

The game is still fantastic after all of these years. The music does tend to lock up, but GOG has done a pretty darn good job overall of making this game stable for modern systems.

I always like this game when it frist cam out. I played it when it came out all the way throught and with this verson and the mods it is a amazing game again on HD with or with out the mod. I am so glad GOG has it on there store and paltform.

I don't have this game off of here, but I have the original disk based game, but due to the original game being made for windows 95, won't install. When I played it back in the day , it was a blast! I also Played the original TIE fighter and X-wing series they were fun too! I highly recommend it
