STAR WARS™ Rebellion

I remember playing this when I was in highschool, I even still have the original disc with manuals. Unfortunately I could never it to work on Win7, no matter what I tried. When I bought this, it worked like it was designed for Win7 64bit! Well done to the GoG team! Gamewise its a great game, if you are patient. This is a very long term planning 4x style game, ships will take months of game time to build with only a single Shipyard (which can be improved by building a ton of them) but the joy of the wait knowing that your Death Star is under construction as you scout the systems with probe droids hunting for Rebels is worth the investment (I only ever played Empire) I personally hated the ship battles, the interface is awful and is totally unintuitive to me, so I auto resolve and get back to the grand strategy of it all. Lots of clicking, lots of planning and building. I love it. Thrawn still never made me my Super Star Destroyer.

Love this game on my laptop....I can run it on my main rig but its hooked up to a 50" TV. Like most games of this era the resolution does scale well on large monitors. I don't hold it against the game just an FYI to anyone without a normal monitor. I saw a couple of reviews talking about pictures and images being messed up. I personally have not experienced this. I've logged lots of hours playing. If you liked it then you will still like it now. As far as 4X games go this isn't the greatest but its an awesome star wars game. Let's be honest that's why we buy it! Hope you enjoy it.

This was a great game when it first came out and it continues to be so. While I originally encountered the graphical issues that others have reported, I have found that if you use the shortcut that the installer creates rather than using the executable directly, it eliminates these issues.

I bought this game when it first came out. I have since worn the disc out from re-installs on new computers. Once you've trained your first random force sensitive character as a Dark Jedi Assassin and cut your way through the who's who of the Alliance scum, you'll never look back. I'm looking at you Chewbacca. Dirty wookie.

Run in Windows 98 Compatibility Mode to resolve all graphical issues.
