STAR WARS™ Rebellion

Star Wars rebellion is a game I compulsively played as a kid and various times in my life. I had no idea it had such a bad reputation or wasn't looked well upon till I googled it. It has depth to it that doesn't go farther than it should. You start out with a few systems, and a couple ships. From there you can manage a few different types of gameplay - building up the manufacturing or resources on your system. Sending ships to explore, recruiting all your favorite extended universe characters, sending them to research, building troops, conquering planets. You can send your characters on a few types of missions, and based on their stats pair them up. I mean, am I the only one who finds this a fun game?! I just assassinated Chewbacca! Oh yeah -and space battles! While limited control - you can have epic giant space battles with a ton of ships. This is often more epic on the harder difficulty settings. Worth a play.

The upside down icon issue mentioned by other reviewers clears up if you reboot after install.

Blast from my past. I grew up with this game almost always in my cd-rom drive. Hold up well for how long ago this one was released. CPU can be a bit brutal on the higher difficulties but such was AI life in the 90's. Anyways anyone having Graphic issues with this release. I can run the game flawless on win 10, Start by creating your own shortcut on the desktop. Make it point at the REBEXE.EXE file in your intall location. EX: C:GOG GamesStar Wars - RebellionREBEXE.EXE. Also add a -w command to your shortcut. Like So ---> "C:GOG GamesStar Wars - RebellionREBEXE.EXE" -w This should fix the discoloration, and 180 rotation of all icon buttons.

This game it's simple awesome. Deep lore, a lot of information about almost anything, and the gameplay it's great too. You could loose you're self in it.

Good 90s game but doesn't work on newer computers. Graphic issues that make space battles impossible to follow. Crashes a lot.
