It is a time of relative peace in the galaxy. Eight years have passed since the Empire's defeat at the Battle of Endor, but the New Republic still struggles to restore order and vanquish its enemies.

Players assume the role of Kyle as they employ a unique mix of weapons, Force™ powers and your lightsaber™ in both single- and multiplayer modes of first-person action.
Includes legendary Star Wars™ characters such as Lando Calrissian and Luke Skywalker
24 single player missions
Over 8 force abilities including jedi mind trick, force lightning, and force grip.
This game continues the epic series and improves in every way. The graphics still hold up today and the gameplay is legendary.
This is well worth the price for any action or shooter fan, and is mandatory for any Star Wars fan!
Kyle Katarn's story of redemption and revenge is lovely, surrounded by mysterious characters and the gloomy vibe of post-republic, late-empire, early-whatever-is-new republic that hangs in the balance, and gives everyone a sense of purpose.
This whole game echoes the earlier games of Star Wars Jedi World, but adds so much atmosphere that it stand well on its own.
What can I say? I replayed it endlessly, endlessly, trying to win over Joan, trying to kill Desann. Fighting for my lightsaber.
All of the Jedi Knight games are awesome, but this one was the Zenith.
Its gameplay got even better while not sacrificing the story.
If you haven't played this game, do yourself a favor and make time.
If you really want to enjoy it to its fullest though, you need to play these 2 games first:
-- Jedi Knight Dark Forces 2
-- Jedi Knight Jedi Outcast 1
If you don't like older DOS games, you can just get the story from DF2 quickly by putting in the cheat code "JEDIWANNABE" It will make you invulnerable so you can quickly get the story and appreciate the complex maps.
Jedi Outcast 1 looks almost as modern as Jedi Outcast 2, so there is no excuse not to play it through completely ;)
If you want to feel like a jedi, there's no substitute. Grab your lightsaber, go into 1-st person view and go hack some stormtroopers.
The game is Old school. It starts off hardcore, and never lets up. It's a game as much about thinking as it is about carefully planning your attack and letting 'em reborn have it. This is a game of skill, wit and keyboard acrobatics. It's infinitely replayable and serious fun.
When I got this game a year back, I thought I knew what I was in for, I saw all the reviews. I thought it was another one of those games were the lightsaber felt like a glowing stick.
Boy was I wrong.
After I got past the horrible shooter levels, I discovered a game that EA would be covering up not to be played, why? Its one of IF not the best star wars game ever made (besides KOTOR) the lightsaber combat is quick and fluent, the force powers were satisfying and fun to use, the levels were big and well designed, I for the first time ever, felt like a jedi. Lets talk about the pros: lightsaber combat is incredible of course, the graphics though old, hold up very well and won't make you sick, the story though simple is well told and the characters are fleshed out and of course multiplayer is on par with many modern games.
But as good as this game is it has some cons: first, the first five levels are not bad, but no good either, the shooting is spongy and the levels, while well designed; are mazes to the modern gamer, the first 3 levels with the lightsabers are HARD, like SNIPER HARD and the last third of the game is not good, but the last 2 levels make up for it. Then bespin: bespin is the reason you should get this game, the levels are large and expansive but not too confusing and you encounter the first force enemy.
But please don't let the cons keep you away form this masterpiece.
And once you see the end credits with that triumphant music score, you'll be glad you played this incredible game.
