Star Wars™ Empire at War: Gold Pack includes Star Wars™ Empire at War and the expansion pack Star Wars™ Empire at War: Forces of Corruption
Command or corrupt an entire galaxy in the definitive Star Wars™ strategy collection. It is a time of galactic civil war. Will you take up the reins of the Rebellion, assume control of the Empire, or rule the Star Wars Underworld?
Star Wars™ Empire at War From the lives of soldiers to the deaths of planets, you are the supreme galactic commander. It is a time of galactic civil war. Take up the reins of the Rebellion or assume control for the Empire. Whichever you choose, it will be up to YOU to steer your side to ultimate victory. Command everything from individual troops to starships and even the mighty Death Star as you execute campaigns on the ground, in space and across the galaxy. Forget tedious resource gathering – just jump straight into the heart of the action. You can even change Star Wars history! Every decision affects your next battle and every battle helps shape the fate of the galaxy.
Star Wars™ Empire at War: Forces of Corruption:
You’ve played the light side. You’ve played the dark side. Now play the corrupt side! As Tyber Zann you’ll stop at nothing to become the most notorious criminal leader since Jabba the Hutt. With all new tactics like piracy, kidnapping, racketeering and bribery, you can control the shadowy forces of corruption in your attempt to rule the Star Wars underworld. Don’t just control the galaxy…corrupt it!
An absolutely beautiful game, the only weakness is playing an entire campaign becomes repetitive.
If you are looking for something to pass the time and test out your new entertainment systems, this is a great game, so long as you put it down after a few hours. There is really no limit to the size of the "Galactic Conquest" mode.
This game is much like Star Wars: Battlefront operating at the strategic (interplanetary) scale rather than the tactical (Troops and ships) scale.
Apparently when trying to play this game with mods, the game has a fatal flaw when trying to load a save file. The game crashes rendering all your mods useless. After reading up on the issue it turns out Petroglyph games only patched the Steam version to fix the save game bug. The GOG port unfortunately is the same as the retail disc version which also has the same flaw.
costs the same as the steam version, but developer fails to provide the same version of the product
This version Lacks supports for 64 bit systems

Half Great/Half Ok
The space battles in this game are amazing. The land battles are done poorly, it just feels like they did not put much effort into making the land battles really great. Very cool galactic conquest type mode. Very cool cinematic mode that you can turn on during combat. Makes you feel like your watching one of the movies. In the galactic conquest mode you cannot create units during battles like in a skirmish mode. In order to make units and buildings you need only one real resource and that is credits. The game is for those that really like Star Wars.
