Star Trek™: Starfleet Command III

Running the game with Generations At War 2.0 causes the game to crash when loading the mission Terran: Incognito (Federation campaign). It never did that in my Linux VM version of SFC3. Attempts to disable patch updates and rolling back to an earlier beta patch from Game Front results in the game endless crashing on start up and stating the desktop needs to be configured for 16 bit. Did that, re-sized the window for 640x480, disabled full screen, and the game still crashes. Disappointing overall, will be going back to my Linux VM so that I can run the modded game properly.

Continuously crashed until following guides to edit config to put it in 640x480 windowed mode. Crashes every few missions even after. Sometimes as it exits the mission, even quite long ones sadly. Reasonably fun when it is running fine

Still a fun game 20+ years later, and with the mods available you can add much more re-playability to the game

This is still the gold standard for Star Trek starship battle simulators. Includes all of the klingon, romulan, and federation ships through the TNG movies (including the Sovereign class Enterprise-E). Fun campaigns keep the game moving forward, but just about every mission ends in ship combat. Definitely worth a buy for Star Trek fans.

If you have played the first Starfleet command then you will enjoy this one. More ships and combinations of how you want your ship to operate.
