Could not get to run on Win8
Would not run on my Windows 8 laptop. Took 3 months to receive my first reply from support, and then I've spent another 3 with tech support, exhausting every fix they could think of, and it still doesn't work. I wish it did. I've wanted to play this for years. Very dissatisfied with the entire experience. Except the Support guy was polite and honestly tried to help.

Not working
It's currently not working, giving the error "No compatible Direct3D device detected" when I try to launch. It also doesn't have a support page yet, so I'm unable to get support or request a refund. I have fond memories of this game from my childhood, so I'd like to be able to play it again some day. That day has apparently not come yet.

fun, buggy, a little slow.
I am enjoying this game immensely but it is extremely buggy. I couldnt get the campaign cinematics to play. And I glitched the fed campaign so I cant play the plot mission anymore without going to an old save. It is a very leisurely paced game. I also havent played a game in a long time that requires you to play the tutorial. Not because it makes you but because you have to actually learn the controls

Almost how I remember it.
I haven't had the trouble others have with intro videos and the like. I have experienced a few bugs like not seeing ships at warp, no rings around mines to indicate their detonation radius, etc. The most annoying one is that the audio is consistently choppy, cutting out for a split-second every few seconds. I haven't seen anyone else with this problem so it'll be trial and error to fix it, but if this gets patched, I'll have basically no issues at all. I really, really missed this game.
