Star Trek™: 25th Anniversary

A pure classic; one of the best 'Star Trek' games ever made - complete with voice acting by the original actors; pure classic adventure-fun; play an episode a night - pure fun. Thank you GOG for bringing this back! I still own the original CDs to these games, but glad I have it in an easy to play package now. Dammit Jim, I'm a Doctor not a Game junkie! :)

This was my very first game and played it for hours. Now I'm playing it years later with my Kids

Here we have a classic adventure game based on the marvelous 60's TV show. It's a well written game which perfectly catches the style of the original series, although the story of each chapter feels a little bit rushed. Nevertheless it's a good game that fans of the show or of classic adventure games will enjoy. Missions are well balanced in their difficulty, except for the last, which i couldn't finish.

I put 4/5 as the Linux version didn't launch (Linux Mint 21.3 (which is based on the supported Ubuntu Linux and uses it's repositories), and Heroic Games launcher). However installing the Windows version instead launches using DOSBox, which is the same emulator Windows would typically rely on for a DOS-based game. As a young kid I got to play games on the old DOS-based PC, and this was the first Star Trek game I played. One of my parents had been a TOS fan growing, and had me watching the episodes. The graphics are definitely a bit dated- PC graphics ween't even 32-bit at the time, but having the voice acting of the original cast is nice.

I really enjoyed this game. Even when I played it on a 286 after I bought it at Costco as a kid and didn't know that I needed a better version. It wasn't the CD rom version. After 1 hour of installation I was able to play. I really enjoyed the way the game makes you feel like your in the Star Trek universe. You get more points by acting more like Kirk would as a Fedaration officer. I felt the missions were interesting and enjoyable. I come back to this game every 8 years or so to replay.
