Nice enhanced version of a classic game! Great that the old version still exists, so everybody can play the version he prefers. Fantastic: Owners of the originals get this for free. That's how it should be!

Soulless Edition
Anyway, I asked GOG to remove this version out of my library. It's of no use to me. Even it is free. Some interesting facts: The lore and story of the original trilogy of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is based on Soviet literature written by Russians, the Strugatsky brothers. The title comes from the Soviet movie about the zone, Stalker by Andrei Arsenyevich Tarkovsky. Among other things the jokes and the music/songs in the game are also part of Russian pop culture. Russian voiceover is one of the core elements of the originals. Also the mother tongue of S. Grygorovych is Russian(Just look at the interviews). GSC Game World, the company was also one of the first in Ukraine to localize PC games to Russian. And what about the developers? What language was spoken during the creating process? hmmm... All in all, this edition seems like a cheap attempt to rewrite the game, the history and hide its roots. Cheeki Breeki i v damke

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl...
... is being developed in a time of foreign aggression against Ukraine. Most people wouldn't be able to live one day under such conditions. The team of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl manages to show the world that Ukrainian culture is immortal and survives everything. I played S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 for many hours now and enjoyed every minute. Can't wait to see what comes next. Check the updates!
