I enjoyed it.

I've seen some negative reviews on here regarding this game not being true to the original & having bugs, but since this is the only version I have seen I just set about shooting baddies & completing missions, like you do. As for bugs, it seemed from what I read on various forums that nearly everyone was using mods because you couldn't play without them. Well, I played right through without any mods (on Windows 10) and apart from 2 or 3 crashes had no problems. When it crashed I just loaded it up again - no problem. Loads really fast too. It has four levels of difficulty & I used the second easiest, but still found it pretty tough in places. I am, obviously, no expert gamer but managed to get through it with lots of help from reading forums & watching youtube. The gun fights feel pretty realistic and the AI seems smarter than in your average game. The weapons seem to be based on ones that really exist, and that just adds to an immersive atmosphere. There are some things I would change, but no game is perfect. It kept me entertained for many hours & now I look forward to trying the next in the series.

Халтура

Це "покращене видання" - повна халтура. Абсолютний жах. Розробники зовсім не тестували продукт. Графіка "пливе". Текст в інтерфейсі накладається один на один. Шрифт в діалогах замінили на дешевий та зовсім не привабливий. Баги не виправлені. В статтях ПДА досі старі іконки локацій, і до того ж низькоякісні. Неправильна анімація перезарядки БМ-16, де курки взведення рухаються як забажають. Вирізана російська озвучка. Навіщо ? Не потрібно було сюди притягати політику. Українська озвучка - це в значній мірі російська. Це взагалі лицемірство. А реклама в головному меню - це взагалі що ? До біса такий ремастер. Не рекомендую зовсім. Жодних покращень тут немає - тільки погіршення. Абсолютно безцеремонна халтура! Якщо хочете згадати старі добрі Тіні Чорнобиля, то краща встановіть оригінал та модифікацію Final Update, котра виправляє баги оригіналу. А про це непорозуміння забудьте.

thanks for the game with a few but..sss

first love the game second being from eastern Europe was neve USSR fun but removing some artifacts from the game does not add anything good. while I totally understand Rus lang removal (played staler 2 in UA and loved it) i don't follow removing original and existing relicts from the game. so for that only 4

Nice free update for a classic game

IMO the EE keeps true to the original, while adding some QoL improvements here and there - mostly visuals, though. The grass and vegetation in general looks better, the field of view is significantly enhanced and overall the graphics feels a bit more polished, despite still using the original textures. The only real gameplay difference I noticed was the stadium/arena shootout between Pripyat and the NPP, which was cut off from the original game and restored in EE. P.S. This review bombing by russians is pathetic. If you guys would have put 5% of the energy you spend here into actually fixing your country, we would've already lived in a much better and safer world.
