WAR OF FACTIONS
With the anomalous activity at its maximum, the unstable Zone continues to tremor with outbursts. The transformation of the Zone map destabilizes the fragile balance of forces in the Zone. Hostilities for the new territories, artifact fields and spheres of influence flare up among groups. Feuds and friendships are left behind – now, everyone watches out only for themselves. The Faction War has begun. To survive, join one of the parties and knock out opponents over the Cordon... Or benefit from working for all the factions at once, like a true mercenary.
NEW PATHS
The safe and trusted pathways are no more. Known places disappear in impenetrable fields of anomalies, stalkers and entire expeditions vanish or remain trapped within. Mysterious territories that have been lost since the appearance of the Zone are opening up, calling for explorers. MYSTERIES OF THE PAST
As a mercenary named Scar, play a key role in Strelok’s fate and discover new details to the original game story, revealing its major secrets. Visit the familiar places as they were before the original game starts and witness the events that shaped the Zone to the years ahead.

Actually pretty good but not terrible
Clear sky was a pretty good game but not great. there's some stuff that bothers me like bugs (even though I never experience too many) and the story. But there is some stuff I love about this game that makes me go back to it such as faction warfare. I love this idea but it could be polished a bit more but nothing mods cant do. the repair system is here and it saves the day. overall, this game is actually pretty good but not great. if you want a better experience, PLEASE GET SRP OR OTHER MODS THAT REDUCE THE BUGS. but besides the caveats, the game is pretty good 8/10 (get mods...seriously)

The DEVs of this game trolled you
I really enjoy Shadow of Chernobyl, and I'm looking forward to playing Call of Pripyat and Heart of Chornobyl, but this game sucked. The moment to moment gameplay can be fun, exploring the Zone, getting into tactical shootouts, and hunting for artifacts, but this game wants to troll you. Opening to the second area? Suppressing machine gun fire that almost insta-kills you. Being careful in an investigation sequence? The game takes control away from you to let yourself be stupidly flash banged and your equipment stolen. Clear out a bandit area? They respawn, what do you mean my faction should take over that base? This game is just undercooked and troll-y.

Enjoyed every minute.
I have played all the games in the series and this one is my second favorite. I know this might sound blasphemous but COP is my favorite. The story is a little linear compare to the other two. The dynamic events were you need to help the factions out are a little annoying.
